...yup, sad too (especially with the Donaghy article dropping earlier in the week) :sigh: then I read this headline tonight "LeBron leads Lakers' 19-point comeback vs. Rockets" ...then go straight to the boxscore (Hou 15 FTA, LA 33 FTA)...then dig deeper and look at 3rd & 4th qtr play-by-play and see the the Lakers were given something like 17 straight FTA from midway 3rd qtr when Rockets had a 19-point lead to end the game, the Rockets had ZERO FTA during that stretch!!!
Do you think that had to do with Harden and others shooting long outside shots EVERY time down the court?

Given that Harden and Paul both fouled out and that Harden was called for 4 offensive fouls - not sure they had a choice!

I don't like Harden and I hate the way he is usually officiated....but that is some kind of BS!

How in the heck can anybody take seriously James Harden and Chris Paul whining about the refs? Good grief, those two have spent more time flopping than a pair of netted tunas.
Harden step back imo has always been a travel...I know if Dame did the same he's be called.

Harden shouldn't be crying and especially dirty player Paul. After Paul did what he did after the T to the referee he should got another T for trying show up the ref and thrown out. Harden commits a lot of off fouls be he liked to push off to clear space problem last night there was a ref that finally call it on him so he got piss.

Agreed. I just wish the refs would call it down the middle rather than going to the opposite extreme to help the Lakers!

Lebron put himself in this position. If he misses the play-offs, boo-frick'n-who.

The League wants a big star (or 3) to join the Lakers.
The chances of this are diminished if the Lakers miss the playoffs.
The League will make sure they make the playoffs.

There's a haiku in there somewhere :)

League wants new big 3
Lotto teams don't sign big names
Playoffs are a lock.

Agree, or no?

Well 1st off that's dumb because draft day trades are based off what the team you are trading with wants you to take not who you'd actually take with those picks.

2nd of all why do teams get to keep picks they traded for before the draft? For example the Blazers would've had the 15th pick in 2017 and Memphis' pick was 20 so shouldn't they have Giles not us?

Draft day trades need to be thought of as your own pick to make this work right. Therefore we'd have Aldridge and Collins as our starting frontcourt.

...evidence against building a team purely through the draft. Gotta be active in trades and FAs.
Yet I can show you teams with amazing lineups built through the draft.

And Collins would be our best drafted C. Him or Meyers, definitely not Giles.

Mitchell shoots a lot of bad shots.
I agree. A lot of it has to do with health and personnel though.

Not a lot of shot creation on that team and nagging injuries has hurt his effectiveness in both getting to and finishing at the rim compared to last year.
