Nope--just showing that he's playing a lot more minutes with Dame than the past 3 years.

Man this is the PERFECT illustration of how a stat can be used to fit different narratives.

To me, playing 26% more with Dame but not having a higher rating than last year because of that and playing 26% less without him and having his net rating actually get worse in those situations is everything I need to know.

I went out on teh twitterz and shared my table. Willing to bet it convinces nobody of anything, but at least I've done my part to combat misinformation.

Oladipo just got carted off with what looked like a knee injury.
That's not looking good. Woj is reporting potentially devastating.

I wonder what Indy would do if it's a torn acl? They could probably easily make the playoffs given that they have an 11 game lead on 9th place but do they make a trade to help them this season or do they sell off vets and go super young this year to develop players?

The misinformation as you put it was shared by the s2 twitter as well as Casey.

When really it's not misinformation pending the narrative you wish to have of CJ.
If you think he's a blackhole on offense and believe he's MeJ, then you can always point to. 'Oh he's playing more with Lillard that's why this stat is the way it is'.
Attempting to dismiss it as Lillard makes everyone better.
Or
If you think CJ actually helps the team as he's undoubtly a legit threat on the team, that if teams don't account for him he will drop 30 on you.
Then you can use this stat as a way to prove that he makes the team better.

Whatever side of the fence you fall on I don't really care.
I was just pointing out a funny thing.
But it's not funny because people are already set in their opinion of CJ or should I say MeJ?

God dammit no fuck why.
Basketball reference is lying.

Probably because he isn't staggered with Dame, so since he plays at the same time as Dame, the team is better with him "on the floor" than off.

What?

Playing more with Lillard and less with a below-average bench is going to make CJ's 'net rating' improve. It's why more advanced stats (that can account for this type of difference) have him being worse than last year.

The way you structure your posts makes it hard to understand your point too, to be honest. I have no idea what you're really trying to say.

Initial reastion was ruptured patellar tendon, but he was able to straighten his leg so probably an ACL tear.

Edit* Could be more though. It's rare to see a guys knee completely give out like that.

Sucks.
I heard something about his kneecap. Dislocated kneecap?

Ehhh, they've had an insanely easy schedule. Maybe the easiest in the league.

Maybe the Pacers would deal Thad Young or Bojan now? Either would be nice in a Blazers uni.

Wow. Gordon inbounds to Tucker and Tucker doesn’t pick up the ball so Vonleh grabs the ball and puts it in. Unbelievable. Never seen a mind fart like that.

Harden nearing 60. This is a great game. Tucker stupid. Can you imagine if that happened in a playoff game?

Another Nate McMillan superstar with a knee injury. Get well Oladipo
