Ask a grown as man who's a businessman and they'll tell you contracts are made to be broken.

Doesn't work that way in the NBA where contracts are guaranteed. I'm sure the owners would LOVE to be able to break contracts. Don't you think Paul Allen and Neil Olshey would love to be able to break one or two they signed last summer? I know I wish they could, and it's not even my money.

I disagree. And off all the talk of Lebron leaving, he hasn't said one word about it. It's like Cantzano said Dame would leave.

I'd bet $100 he leaves. He hates the owner and the fact that Kyrie said what he said makes it even more believable. This is Lebrons makeup he doesn't see his owner making enough moves even though they have one of the largest payrolls in NBA. Lebron will leave and create his next super team.

Yeah, I guess you're right.

Sorry, and I'm not trying to be a dick, but I read and respond to threads linearly. When a thread like this breaks and everyone is responding fast and furiously, it's hard to keep up. Multiple posters are all typing at the same time, so some responses seem outdated as soon as they get posted.

1. I don't bet.
2. I don't gamble.
3. I don't make wagers.
4. MF I don't know you!

Yeah. So?

Contracts are like hearts.

Except if I don't honor a contract, I have bad repercussions. What's the point of a contract if it's not honored?

Reminds me of Tommy Boy and the guarantee conversation: I’ll tell you what, you can get a good look at a t-bone by sticking your head up a bull’s ass, but I’d rather take the butcher’s word for it.

I'm not saying how I feel about contracts, I'm talking about how the country "honors" them. As a whole, we break contracts all the time.

Dunno how legit this dude is. His Twitter profile says he's an official NFL and NBA media member and has written for ESPN and CBS Sports. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So......

Rose
LeBron
Melo
Love
Thompson

That team isn't winning shit.

I will laugh at Houston fans though.... and the Knicks will actually get something of value for Melo. That would be amazing. I just think he'd be stupid to go there.

Don't read anything he says he's full of shit. He piggybacks stories to make up his own rumors. I learned the hard way when I bought into his nerlens Noel/Portland bullshit.

I wonder how Lebron feels about this. On the surface you'd assume this means lebron is gone, but what if he doesn't like playing with Kyrie for whatever reason?

If they trade Kyrie to NY for Melo, and then Melo/LeBron both leave next summer, I'm going to laugh so hard.

Cavs are so much worse if they trade Kyrie.

I agree, but you have to assume if they trade Irving, for Melo. That Love will be traded.
LBJ+Melo+Love all generally are best when played at the 4.

What? Lebron is best when he plays the 3. But with that lineup, Bron can play the 2.

Even if the trade was something like this?

NYK - Irving
Cavs - Melo + 2 or 3 first round picks from NYK.
Those picks prolly will be lotto picks too.

Regardless, if you have Bron/Melo/Love on the floor at the same time, you have two guys playing out of position. LeBron CAN play the two, but that doesn't mean it's his best position. Melo CAN play small forward, but that doesn't mean it's his best position.

He's the best player in the world and if asked he can play 1-5. I just think LBJ presents more problems for teams when he plays the 4 than the 3.

I still think they could do better. He's 25 years old, an All-Star, and he's on a pretty affordable contract for a player of his caliber.
