I like Jokic a lot and would say that against other teams, Nurk and Jokic have a similar impact. Head to head is where Nurk has the advantage.
Yikes, $4.6M QO for Mase. Not quite the $15-20M/yr everyone assumed he would get this summer. Go east young man!
Over 4 years, though. At ~$140M/yr, I'm guessing they're still profitable as long as they're winning championships and selling seats for $100k per game.
That's easy: Dwight Howard.
What??? They have the exact same skillset cept' Nurk plays D.
Nurk Vs Jokic a Push???? Woah....
Did you not watch this game?? He wasn't even in game shape....
$500M over 4 years on top of the $140M/year. And it's still a half a $billion, which isn't chump change, even for a $billionaire.
I cannot fathom where in the hell there's a piece of land in San Francisco that can accommodate a parking lot and basketball arena...unless they buy Golden Gate park or something...that city has seemed to me to have been maxed out from development for decadesthey're moving into fancy new digs in San Francisco in a couple of years.
Allen Crabbe, Meyers Leonard, Elliott Williams.

They have a very different skill set. Jokic has a great mid range shot and a decent 3 point shot. Much more of a,stretch type player than Nurk, who is more of a true big 5. Nurk is a much better defender, but at this point, Jokic is a much better offensive player

It's not chump change, but the question is how much they'll be pulling in over that timeframe. I read that they had the highest cable deal or something. I'm sure they've jacked up ticket prices at Oracle and they're moving into fancy new digs in San Francisco in a couple of years.
It's going to be fiendishly expensive to keep this group together, but they probably will have the financial wherewithal to pull it off, without dipping much into their personal fortunes. And they have the chance to make the team an institution in the Bay Area, which could pay off even after the glory days are gone.

I'm counting only the luxury tax.You can't count the salary portion. That's covered directly by league-wide revenue. It's the tax portion that is up for debate, as far as whether deep playoff runs in a region flush with cash will counter it.
Allen Crabbe, Meyers Leonard, Elliott Williams.
Elliot Williams???? Yeah, we wasted an entire 149 minutes trying to develop that guy. If that's the 3rd best example you can come up with, you have no case.
Can one of you nerds please tweak the algorithm. It's running open loop again.

Is he though? That's the kind of player you need to put next to Jokic and Millsap is not a hustle player like faried, swanigan, Davis, DJ, Chandler(younger), etc...Mudiay is done, they are looking to trade him while Murray will be the primary backup which is what he should be in a team targeting the offseason.
The problem for us is that even a declining Millsap is a really huge acquisition for them if you compare him to Faried. He is a big upgrade over someone that just rebounds the ball and catches lobs. Millsap doesn't have to be on All Star level to be useful. Harris-Jokic getting better by the day too. Harris must be one of the most underrated wings in the league. If they get Hill too then I suppose next season we don't even reach the offseason. That's my opinion at least if we don't make any moves.
You're supposed to develop draft picks...![]()

Suns waived Barbosa, could be an interesting bench guy is he has any legs left.
Well if you add their usage you get close to 50% so either Millsap and/or Jokic are going to get less looks now, or they are going to need to be extremely efficient. Could have trouble getting their backcourt and wings as many looks as they got last year.Ideally you need a skilled and hustle player, but between a just hustle player and a 4 times All star i cannot see how they dont get better. The quality gap between Millsap and Faried is huge. Its not that Millsap is Carmelo. He is a pretty good defender.
Their player expenses are going up, sky high, before the LT.
$74.2M in "profit" before all that.

Jokic is damn near a liability defensively. He's superior offensively but I don't think the gap is wide enough to make up for the other side of the ball. Nurkic is the better overall player.
I think the same, couldnt agree moreI disagree that he's "much" better.
