Marc Gasol is 32 and has been injury prone...he's slow...great player but we have an upgrade in Nurk who's 10 years younger and several 7ftrs....the Spurs will suit Marc more than out style of play I'd say. I don't see trading that much youth and future assets for Marc Gasol and forget Pau Gasol..he's not moving any needle....he's not coming here either..
Having Nurk is more reason to get Marc Gasol. Gasol at PF, Nurk at C. That would be beastly. How wouldn't Marc fit our style of play? He shoots 3s, and is a great passer as a big man. Pick n rolls would be great with Lillard, McCollum, Gasol, and Nurkic. Gasol's age and injuries is why he's gettable. And if healthy, a Big 4 of Lillard, McCollum, Gasol, and Nurkic would match up beautifully with Golden State and would compete and have a chance at winning that series.

Marc Gasol isn't slow laterally. He's not quick, but he can stay in front of any PF and contest jumpers at the same time.

Crabbe's put on some bulk:

We're not getting gasol for a couple non lottery picks, please stop. Memphis would want some legit young talent as well, of which we have none (ie Jaylen Brown.)

That's not enough for Gasol. Our '18 and '20 picks is a better package in itself?
He's in his 30s man. And Danny Green+Kyle Anderson+Euro big man prospect+A future Spurs 1st is a far better package than what we could offer realistically (basically anyone outside of Dame/CJ/Nurk/Hark).

I don't know about that one. Why would Memphis want Danny Green? Take him out and it'd be pretty easy to match an Anderson/late 1st offer.

Memphis needs a shooting guard with Tony Allen gone, he may not be the defender Allen is but he is no slouch and can hit the 3.

Danny Green doesn't hold any value to a rebuilding team. Harkless is a better prospect than Kyle Anderson, who has shown nothing in his career. Our 1st in 2018 is better than a 2018 Spurs 1st. Vonleh and a 2020 1st holds more value than Mulitinov.

I don't think Memphis wants to rebuild, I think they're looking to reload. Now if they trade Conley I will believe they are rebuilding.

I've never heard of a team trading their best player (under multiple years of control) that wasn't categorized as anything but a rebuild.

Disagree. Kyle Anderson would be getting a shit ton of minutes on a worse team than San Antonio. He's been the best player in SL, which isn't everything, for sure, but it isn't nothing. He also has better defensive numbers than Harkless, which is a bit surprising for someone called Slo-Mo. I'd LOVE to get Anderson.

Did you see my trade?

Portland gets Crowder/Bradley.

Boston gets Gasol.

Memphis gets Harkless/Brown/Smart/Vonleh and a pick from us if that's necessary.

Dame/Bradley
CJ/Turner/Patty
Crowder/Aminu/Layman
Collins/Swanigan
Nurk/Davis/Meyers
Crowder, brown and Bradley is too much for gasol. No way ainge does that deal.
