I'm pretty sure Meyers can get pushed in the post by Isaiah Thomas and will still find a way to defend himself. The guy is ready for a long career in politics.

Neil right now

Especially 7'1 3 pt specialists!

They let Olynyk wallk to clear cap space to sign Hayward. I don't think they would be interested in a weak imitation that costs them $10 million a year.

In other words, not THAT desperately.

About the only thing Butters has in common with Olynyk is skin tone. Kelly does things on the court that Meyers can only do in his wettest of dreams.

Well, they are both 7' centers that shoot a lot of 3-pointers.

But like I said, they let Olynyk walk to clear cap space. They aren't about to take on Meyer's contract for an inferior player who plays the same position.

I do not like that move if I were a Raptors fan, Joseph is a good PG and Lowry isn't exactly the most reliable guy health wise as of late. I also hated them trading Carroll+Picks for relief.. they are regressing heavily in my opinion.
I think they are looking to bump Wright into the rotation

Also, he isn't the most reliable guy come playoff season either.

I hate to type this, but.....
Biebs is a legit NBA player, and a pretty good one when he has his confidence. He didn't have it last year, but that won't mean he won't have it this year.

Until he either plays better (and is given the PT to show that) or some time passes, his trade value is low. Next offseason, when he has only 2 years left on his contract, he'll be much more tradeable.

That being said, if Neil can get something in return for him, I'm all for it.

This is some bullshit right here. And those of you who like this post need your heads examined. When was the last time Butters ever showed that he could play defense?? That's right never... He's lost on offense and lost on defense. He is fucking soft.... He doesn't dunk anymore and he always pops and never rolls. He doesn't like contact. He doesn't box out or rebound. All of this is on top of the fact that his psyche is fucking fragile as shit...

I'll humor you, though it's not obviously worth it:

"He's lost on offense and lost on defense" - correct.
"his psyche is fucking fragile as shit" - correct, again.

He has been effective:
1) 50/40/90
2) FWIW, Charles Barkley has touted his potential on multiple occasions
3) vs. bigs (e.g. Boogie, Gasol) he has had an excellent reputation, even on this message board.
.....

He's still only 25 years old, with not a lot of college experience.
He's still very athletic.
He works hard.
He's a genuinely good person, and a good locker room guy.

My concern, and from many here from what I gather, is the 2 things I labelled correct in your post above make it likely he won't become the valuable player we need him to be.

p.s. Based on your comments, I assume that you're referring to the first 1/3 of my post.... OR, do you feel him having low trade value is "some bullshit"? Do you feel that his trade value will increase when he has a shorter contract, or is this "some bullshit", too? If Neil can get something for him, I want him traded - more "some bullshit"? You want to keep him around?

p.p.s. Next time you want to dog on someone's post, how about being more specific instead of just calling the whole post "some bullshit." Better yet, when you roll out of bed in the morning feeling like crap, just wait awhile before crapping on someone else.

Isaiah Thomas isn't interested in re-signing with the Celtics on a discount next summer.
"I'm a max (contract) guy, so I deserve the max," Thomas told CSN New England on Friday, echoing comments he made a year ago. "We've just got to continue to take care of business on the court and let the cards fall where they may. I'm happy for all the guards and all the other guys getting their money, because they deserve it, but my time's coming.

"They know they've got to bring the Brinks truck out," Thomas said with a smile.

Man.... I would REALLY hate to hang my hat on Isaiah Thomas as my best player. I still think they should have drafted Fultz and traded Thomas.
I don't think the team (or even fans possibly) will consider him their best player next year.
