If the Celtics are trying to land both, they'll likely get rid of Crowder.

I would immediately jump into 3 team negotiations with IND and BOS, offering Davis/Aminu and a 2018 1st to IND to her Crowder from BOS.

Crowder makes a ton of sense because he's a good all-around player for extremely cheap, and would make Crabbe expendable, which get us nearly under the tax line. Trade Aminu and we'd have our full MLE.

JAE CROWDER IS THE KEY TO OUR OFF-SEASON FLEXIBILITY AND IMPROVEMENT.
Another interesting thing about a Davis and a 1st for Crowder and then Crabbe-dump trade would be it would allow us to make sign-and-trades.

Feel like Houston is always rumored to land top free agents

Morey gonna drop someone off at Olsheys before Friday. Hopefully Beverley.

Aren't there a bunch of teams under the cap? Why would it be portland and FEEC?

There really aren't that many that are. Maybe less than 10, and even less teams that would want a vet point guard.

I'll arrange to never cheer for him, then. I don't want that guy anywhere near this team.

You're nuts. Portland falls in love with players like him. The fact that so many ppl hate him is a compliment. He's awesome. Elite pest.

I just can't imagine how a Hardin-Cp3 backcourt cold possibly work. Do you really want to make CP3 a spot up shooter when Hardin decides to run the show? I would to see it.

Nope. He has a history in Houston. It's like he's a laker.

And no, Clyde doesn't fall into this. It's part of the Houston history that goes with .9

I just think Houston always ends up getting into conversation, I don't think they get him. Who was the last big free agent they got? Dwight? Yeahhhhhhh

What history? Playing on another team?

He's first team all defense for a reason.

I don't see it. Dame doesn't respect his game, couldn't see the two getting along. Flopping, gross

Look at Beverley's background. Played in Europe for years. Fought for everything he has. Dame will 100% respect that. So what if Beverley annoyed him on the court? He annoys everyone. Doesn't mean they don't respect him.

Playing on Houston or the L*kers is not "playing on the other team" It's playing for the dark side.

I'd do Crabbe for Beverly in a heartbeat.
I just don't think the Rockettes would like that trade too much.

Yet you had no problem with Chandler Parsons potentially coming here.

I love the search function.

Did I? That's fucking wrong if I did, I would never want him on this team. Pre-houston? Sure. Post-houston? GTFO (I love you, Dviss)

I think if the Celtics can actually get George and Hayward, it makes more sense for them to play George at the 2 than 4, as having a big 2/3 can compensate for Thomas' size a bit.

I could see them being more likely to trade Bradley than many expect, especially as he is an expiring and they won't have cash to resign him with George, Hayward, Thomas, and Horford.

I would love to get him for Portland, even if only for a year. He would be amazing for our guys to go against in practice, could help get the most out of Turner, has experience playing off the ball with dominant guys, and would add an incredible amount of defense for us on the permitter. Plus you could sub offense and defense with him and Dame at the end of games.

Maybe a pipe-dream, but something like this would be great for us IMO:

George and Davis to Boston (they get the rebounding they need and keep space cleared for Hayward)
Thad Young and Avery Bradley to Portland (look at the balance of this team after this deal, add a ton of vet savvy)
Crowder, Crabbe, Zeller and a Boston pick to Indiana (as good of a haul as they're gonna get for George and they get a lot of young players)

Lillard/Bradley
CJ/Bradley
Harkless/Turner
Young/Vonleh
Nurkic/Leonard

That's a hell of a 9 man rotation IMO, and that's w/o even factoring in the rookies or Aminu (who I hope to hell we get rid of)

There are several teams who are going to make a push to shed last minute salary before Friday. IIRC Ezeli and his partial guarantee is about the quickest easiest way for a team to drop $6mik.

It's pretty much the only reason Ezeli hasn't been waived yet.

Woj bomb: Phil Jackson out as Knicks GM/president

Apparently both parties will be announcing this on Wednesday.

I'd absolutely hate trading significant assets for Thad Young and in your scenario we seem to lose Collins or do you think we'll not play him ahead of Leonard?
