If NYK could trade Melo to a 3rd team and get a couple assets, they could use those assets along with picks to potentially land Kyrie. How does that make sense?

That "third team" has to be Houston, because that's the only team Anthony's waiving his NTC for. What "assets" are Houston going to give New York to add to the Kyrie deal?

Here you go Bones.

Jeezes yall....

If they can't get assets from a 3rd team taking Melo, they won't do it. Y'all never pay attention to what I'm saying, and then say I don't know what I'm talking about from you taking it out of context.

This is EXACTLY what you said, and EXACTLY what I responded to:

You have to think...

Trade Lebron to BOS for Tatum, Horford and their 2018 BKN and LAL picks...
Trade Kyrie to New York for Melo and NYKs 2018 and 2020 1sts.
Trade Melo to anyone for a 2018 1st.
Trade Horford to anyone for a borderline top 10 2018 1st.
Trade Love to anyone for a borderline top 10 2018 1st.

They could potentially get 6 lottery picks next year, with three top 5 picks (BKN, LAL, their own).

I fail to see what I took out of context. All I see is a whole bunch of trades that will never happen, with no mention of any third team in any of them. If that's not what you meant, then say what you meant and stop accusing others of misinterpreting your intentions. I'm not a mind reader. I can only respond to what you write, not what you think.

hahahahaha

You don't think Kyrie for KP is a good trade!?!

I also like that Houston and Melo are somehow forced into that, even though New York could deal directly with Cleveland if they were insane enough to trade Zing for Irving.

Houston still has to clear cap space. Cavs take on Ryan Anderson (although I doubt they'd want to do that) lol

Why are you shitting on Bones dreams!?!

A different team after Melo expands his NTC.

I explained it right after and you still took it out of context.

It is a bunch of trades that won't happen, was just outlining how it's possible that CLE could get 4 to 6 lottery picks

Boston should offer up Isaiah Thomas for Kyrie Irving. That's probably not equal value, but I wonder if Cleveland would get a better offer. Irving would fit Boston's timeline with Tatum, Brown and future picks a bit better.

You keep saying "a third team" but Melo wants to go to Houston. That's the third team, and the whole reason why the trade hasn't happened is because Houston doesn't have shit to offer.
Which is why he'll expand his NTC

I wouldn't do that trade if I'm Cleveland. There is nothing compelling them to trade Irving. They still have him locked up for at least two more years. I would personally hold onto him until either the deadline or the draft. Or at least until they know what's happening with LeBron.
