they still miss out on an experience of being called up on draft night. you think trendon would not have traded places with jabari on his night? to this day, wes matthews talks about how disappointed he was.
And we could see how excited Jabari was to be picked.

I do enjoy your eternal Blazer optimism, and I also somewhat enjoy your overreactions to small sample-sizes. But when you call virtually every team in the NBA 'trash', it eventually loses its meaning and humor.

There are a few teams in the NBA that I believe are 'trash'. Houston and Detroit being two. But just because a 'trash' team wins does not define the team they beat as also 'trash'.

I do believe 3 out of the top 4 Western Conference teams are going to have a hard time holding on to their spots come end of season. Will they overachieve this year? Probably so. I'd love to be wrong, and the Blazers finish with the number 1 seed, but I have a lot more basketball to watch before I can come to that conclusion.

I agree that Golden State is not the team they have been in the past few years. And I do really enjoy 4 out of the bottom 5 Western Conference teams are from California.

Don't ever lose that eternal optimism, Eric. There's a lot of ups and downs throughout the season. It's great having fans like you that are always seeing the Blazers in a positive light.
Thanks man. That was a good post. So how many of next 3 do you think we'll win? I think 2. 3 would mean we're "for real."

You think the Warriors ARENT trash? They just lost to Hornets and Pistons and have a worse record than OKC. I’ll give you this: they were good LAST year. But this is the 2022-23 season. Warriors are trash. The Draymond/Poole thing left a bigger mark than they’ll admit.
I'll tell you what you need to admit, that this is still an extremely small sample size and we don't know who anyone is yet. So you definitely can't be sure that last year's champions have completely fallen off. They don't look as good but they will look better.

You also need to admit that you troll so often and refuse to break from your trolling character, that no one in here knows when it's your honest opinion or your homer trolling character. It's so inconsistent that your word means very little in this forum. You've admitted at times that you are trolling but won't say when. You just don't have a lot of credibility, so when you say stuff like the Warriors are trash I don't know if that's you having a real and shitty take or if you're trolling. So enjoy the words that you so often type out in this forum meaning absolutely nothing.

And like Jordan, he's shit at threes - currently shooting 22.6%,

Also? The Mavs were up by 16 with 4 minutes left against OKC the other night and then Kidd brought Luka back and the Thunder went on a huge run to win the game.

I said before he was drafted that he was like a white Harden, and he's giving off Harden-in-Houston vibes (minus the three point shooting) - insane personal stats, but never going to make the finals.
But you don't truly believe the Mavs lost that game BECAUSE of Luka, right?

Nah, his spokesman said he is always joking.

Maybe because he is the Mavs. The team around him isn't very good.

SEVEN games is NOT a small sample size. We determine the champion with a 7 game sample every June. Warriors were 21-4 last year. 3-4 this year. Last year, champs. This year, trash. Crazy enough, though, Curry is having the best season of his career. Weird season.

He’ll blossom in San Antonio. One of the more elite shot blockers I watched at the college level. Had amazing footwork in college that hasn’t translated over to the NBA. Hopefully he can stay healthy.

He will have some good games there, just as Nance will tease everyone with some good games for the Pelicans. Neither one is dependable enough to consider a building block.

This shit is so stale it stinks of mold. Please get a new a schtik…..

Can't be sure if you're trolling or just sharing a terrible take. 7 games is a small sample size especially the first seven of the season, if you don't understand that and aren't trolling then you've learned nothing from all of the seasons of NBA ball that I know you've watched.

These next 3 will be a real test for sure. If we had Dame for all 3, I'd say we could honestly get at least 2, maybe 3. Without Dame, I'm hoping for 2.

The beauty of this team is their potential. The Blazers have so many budding stars. Even if we go 1-2 over the next 3 games, I think we can develop into a contender by the end of the year. Yes, I'm optimistic. But that's what being a fan is all about!

It's a small sample size. But, that small sample size does point to them being in trouble if it continues.

The Warriors lost a lot of depth this summer. They aren't the same team they were. Can't really ever count Curry out though.

I do think the Draymond/Poole fight seems to have a bigger effect than has been let on yes.

25 games, 7 games. But whos counting..

Also, not all 7 game samples are the same. But you already knew that.

You lost me RIGHT HERE!
This forum is awesome. I come here mostly to be entertained.

You and Eric bring balance to this forum.

Sure, championship is seven games. After 82 games decide seeding and three previous playoff rounds get the field down to two teams. Even then, a hot streak or just plain luck can propel a team over an opponent who is technically the better team.

But delicious to see Lakers record.

I want to see all the other Western Conference playoff teams lose.
Denver losing to the Lakers is a good thing. The Lakers are probably not a playoff team.

Just saw a stat on schedules this year. Only three teams have more then 1 six game road trip and only 1 team has more then 2 six game road trips. So my question is why do the Blazers have the most extended road trips? Does the longer trips help build a strong bond within the team? Or does it hurt being away from the home arena for long stretches over and over? Just curious what others think?

If he's not on fire (which is admittedly pretty rare) he's a liability, because he's pudgy and slow.

The Mavs' record without him hasn't been that different from their record with him over the past few seasons, at least, that's how it's appeared to me. I don't think it's good for ANY player's usage rate to be as high as his. Certainly this year, when TEAM Teams seem to be overperforming and STAR teams seem to be underperforming.

7 game series?

6-3 isn’t a bad record at all!!! Go Blazers!!
