The Sixers lose to the tanking Spurs at home and is 0-3. Harden looks like he’s free falling on the downward trajectory of his career.

Kawhi Leonard is an amazing basketball player but does this man even love basketball? He’s been out 1.5 years. Didn’t play the entire season last year. Yet it’s the 2nd game of the season and he’s already load managing.
 
Not seeing much tanking just yet. As mentioned, players don't think they suck early in the season.

Why not save him til the playoffs. Deepest team in the NBA. Next man up.

Also, how can an opposing team even prepare for teams like the Spurs or Jazz? They have no clue what to expect.

They still have a great team, but their bench got a lot worse. It will definitely be their Achilles heal this year. They will obviously still make the playoffs but I'm thinking more 4th/5th seed. They really need to get something back for Crowder.

Agree but there were a few people who suggested teams would tank from the beginning of this season this year because of the prize. As you alluded to players don't think about the lottery and early in the season, every team thinks they have a chance to make the playoffs.

it’s not even about getting the top pick.

who wants to be in the middle of the pack with no shot at the championship, but no worthwhile pick either. It’s the worst place to be as an NBA organization

I haven’t seen them play but I heard people raving about how he played in their opener

It works well in European sports where there are multiple divisions (and no draft) but It wouldn't work at all the way the NBA is set up
