Sharpe did have an immediate impact. Game 1 of the season on the road. He was 3-3 on 3-pointers , as many 3-pointers as any other Blazer made, scoring 12 points off the bench in a 7-point victory.
Sharpe was a +8 in that game, second only to Justise Winslow.

Oh you meant will he make an impact in ONE game? I was talking the overall season.

I think you're selling some of the Miami players' upside a bit short. Herro is younger than Ant, and is better right now, IMO. Bam is 25, Strus is 26; Martin is 27, and they are all locked into long term deals, unlike Grant and Hart
Wow Herro is younger than Ant?!?!? Also do you do anything other than research basketball stuff?!?!? LOL I stand corrected by the Encylopedia Brown of SportsTwo! You really think Strus and Martin have another gear though? I did say Bam might have upside of the three that were mentioned and I thought Herro Kitty was like I dunno mid to late 20's.

Strus and Martin are good and still on the upswing.

I think both teams are pretty on par with each other. On most any given night the game between those two will be close and decided at the end. And, yeah it could go either way.

Miami was playing on all cylinders in the second half. Part of that was them clicking. Part of it was the Blazers having a really bad night.

Through five games, do you think he has had an impact this far?
Do you think he will continue to grow from the first five games and get better? or regress to the end of the bench eventually, if he gets more minutes in the next five games?

Anyone watched baller vision on League Pass?

Its solid

I’m glad we dodged the Ben Simmons bullet

Announcers are making excuses for him. “Missed 1 year of basketball”.

Nets haven’t had a winning record after 4 games in 15 years. In that time they have failed to start the season better than 2-2 each year.

I can think of another player who missed a year of basketball that isn't sucking and doesn't shy away from contact, and offense in general. He is on the Blazers and is only 19.

Lauri Markannen has to be in the early conversation for most improved.
I don’t think legally you can have an “early conversation” until at least 20 games into the season. Because we could have one right now about Golden State and Philly not making the playoffs and us having HCA all the way thru the finals.

The Clips shoot 54% from the field and lose to OKC?
Clips are trash. Completely overrated. Not a contender. They’re like the Nets. Nice on paper but swept in the first round. IF they make the playoffs.

I don’t think last years tank has been worth it so far. If you are going to go through what we went though last season, the return on investment needs to be greater. But I will wait to see if last years tank paid off until the end of this season.

Clippers aren’t making the playoffs? Did I just read that?

So I assume since they just beat the Clippers, OKC IS making the playoffs? Is that how it works?

You do realize Kawhi missed all of last game and most of the one before it?

That's the thing though. At a certain point you have to ask how much a player like Kawhi will actually help them. Dude has barely played for a couple of years, and it doesn't seem like his trajectory is any different this season. At this point, I am not exactly counting on contributions to the team.
