I've broken and dislocated both my radius and ulna twice. My arm was in a cast for 8 weeks each time. Those were complete breaks with a new joint between my elbow and wrist. I suspect this injury was less serious.

My guess is Nurk is out for 6 weeks.

Okay, I have seen both the wrist and the hand listed as broken. Which is it? It matters when it comes to timeline.

I was watching when it happened. I saw the replay. His hand barely touched the ball as he swiped at it. I thought maybe a jammed or dislocated thumb or finger. How the hell does his hand fracture from that?

I assumed it happened when he fell and hit the ground.

Do we have one extra roster spot? There isn't anyone that's too appealing to pickup. I can see someone like Skal Labissiere if we can get him from the G-League.

Negative. He slapped down on Brogdan's knee when it went up and he immediately grabbed his hand and bent down in pain. When he jumped and fell a couple seconds later he landed sideways protecting his hand. He had already hurt it.

Our only relation is we were both born in a doctors office (no hospital there) (The doctors office has since been closed and torn down and is now only an empty lot) in the small backwoods town of Silsbee, Texas.

Agreed but what this does is gives Olshey another opportunity to keep this flawed roster and coach together for another season with the, "We haven't had a chance to show what we can do yet." shit.

i think it happened when he fell a few plays earlier. The swipe made him realize it. When he missed his wrist and hand flopped and he realized something bad had happened. I don't think it was the swipe that cause the injury but what caused the realization of the injury.

I don't like small ball at all but maybe if we played someone at the 5 that couldn't possibly be called a center, we could avoid this curse (I don't actually believe in curses but this injury history is pretty compelling).

I hope we can get some more Nassir which actual coaching instead of him having to stand out at the corner 3.

The rash of injuries the past couple years...I feel the need to reiterate my concern about the current medical staff. Team health was so much better during the previous regime. Nurk and Zach with repeated fracture issues (and a barely-contact shoulder injury), CJ with a fractured back, Hood's Achilles, Dame's knee... Some are random tweak type injuries, but several point to dietary or training methodology issues.

I saw it broken down on youtube and his hand after swiping at the ball hit Brogdans knee as Brogdan was raising up...that's where it impacted his hand, probably at the base of the thumb
