If health is an issue, why even do the trade?
Because Portland loves injury prone players.

I'm curious about the WNBA balls at the PF. Do they just always have those on hand? Or were they there for something coming up with the new team?
He said “nice to meet you”. Which doesn’t mean he doesn’t know who Brian is. Just that he’s never met him beforeHe doesn't know who Brian Grant is? Trade the bum!
But he also got Brian's name off him, which does suggest he didn't know who he was. Maybe he's not good with faces? A lot of people have face blindness. I find it hard to believe he wouldn't have known Grant as a player. He said “nice to meet you”. Which doesn’t mean he doesn’t know who Brian is. Just that he’s never met him before
Maybe he didnt follow the NBA as a kid that closely? BG is 18 years older than Jrue. But he also got Brian's name off him, which does suggest he didn't know who he was. Maybe he's not good with faces? Jrue wasn't even six when BG played his last game. I don't think there are many five year olds that know who a guy getting 12 minutes per game over only 21 games is... the season before that BG was getting 16.5 minutes per game with the Lakers... I don't think any 4 year olds know who NBA bench players are.Maybe he didnt follow the NBA as a kid that closely? BG is 18 years older than Jrue.
Huh? Jrue was like 16 when BG played his last game.Jrue wasn't even six when BG played his last game. Oops... bad math on my part.Huh? Jrue was like 16 when BG played his last game.
Point can still stand though, most people aren't as dedicated about knowing every player as people that post on forums.
Thanks for clarifying. I felt crazy old for a minute there. Now I'm 10 years younger.Huh? Jrue was like 16 when BG played his last game.

My bad math... it had us all a decade older or I guess some feeling a decade younger. Either way, not good. Thanks for clarifying. I felt crazy old for a minute there. Now I'm 10 years younger.
so mad he brought his familyJrue looks so mad to be here.

I like him as a potential third PG. He's tough (which this team needs more of) and he's been in a lot of big games. His shooting numbers aren't great, but he wouldn't be available if they were better. Good size, pretty good defender, streaky shooter but good scorer and tough. Sounds like a pretty good prospect. If they can reign in the shot selection and trying to force the issue, I think he could be pretty good in that role.Yes he knows his shot selection was poor. He admitted it. He tried to do too much. And he knows in the NBA that he needs to be more of a point guard because of his height. (his weight is fine.) He just got knocked down a few pegs by not being drafted. I think that will work to our advantage.
I had Zona in my final 4, so I watched all their games in the tournament, and he played as well as anyone, including the 29-point 9-rebound game against our Ducks. The guy can score in a number of ways. He has NBA range. I think he will do well with Deni in the game. And he is a good defender as well.
I’ve changed my mind on Holiday. Great guy and player, he’s definitely someone I want our young guards looking to for advice. Just hope he’s healthy.
