Not every deal has been announced most yes but not all -- Boston's deals have not so before speaking know the facts or look silly

"After learning of Holiday's unenthusiasm joining the Trailblazers and with Boston realizing they overestimated Simon's value, the Celtics and Trailblazers mutually decided not to go through with the trade initially agreed upon, sources close to the situation reports." jk

Is this a joke?

That's pretty trollish.

has had and been held out of games for shoulder issues each of the last two seasons?

Holiday is 35 and has had minor injuries many times. I'd imagine that will show up in thorough medical exams

speaking of which: what type of pre-trade exams are standard? Do players undergo MRI's and Cat scans? Can they refuse?

It's possible the two - 2nd's were an error but glad it's just a straight up swap cause giving two second round picks to take back someone with 3 years on his deal was just stupid as fuck .

Did not read Fent's tweet so ignore first part that might have been an error

I like that we keep the 2 2nds.

I don't like that we took on an 3 year expensive deal for a 35 year old with issues on their physical.....

Hoping for the best.

if health is an issue with Jrue, the team better look into getting a proper 3rd string PG.

I’m still hoping that we flip him but I doubt that happens and if it did it’d probably be during the season, so not a real flip.

I would imagine that 3rd string PGs should not be too hard to find. However, I am anxious to see how Love plays in the summer league.
I know he is labeled more of a small SG, but I would not be surprised if he can play the point.

He played lead guard a lot in college so you’re right. He’s a combo guard, so he can set up the offense.

from what I saw of Love, he's a combo guard who is an unashamed chucker

here are some relevant numbers: over 5 years and 174 NCAA games, Love shot 38% on FG's and 32.6% on three's. And he had a dismal 1.39 assist/turnover ratio. I wouldn't expect to see much out of him

GREAT! It means we were able to get him without giving up ANY assets. The problems are mostly fixable, though most do not. We'll see about Love.

Yes he knows his shot selection was poor. He admitted it. He tried to do too much. And he knows in the NBA that he needs to be more of a point guard because of his height. (his weight is fine.) He just got knocked down a few pegs by not being drafted. I think that will work to our advantage.

I had Zona in my final 4, so I watched all their games in the tournament, and he played as well as anyone, including the 29-point 9-rebound game against our Ducks. The guy can score in a number of ways. He has NBA range. I think he will do well with Deni in the game. And he is a good defender as well.
