Hmmm…Jrue trade not completed.
Wonder if the bucks have interest in bringing Jrue back…?

Of course they do. But they can fuck off - he's ours.

Look, I understand people don't like that he's old and his contract is big. But he's still fucking good, one of the top guard defenders in the league and will be a lot more valuable at the trade deadline if you want to offload him then.

You want a two man guard rotation? You want them to play 48 minutes every game? Or is there another guard prospect we have that you think needs developing?

Good to know that nobody remembers my posts from the last two years. I was being sarcastic!

Darlin', there is so much bullcrap thrown on this forum that it is hard at times to remember who is who... Nothin' personal.

Lots of talk of Jrue having a down year but my question is did he have a down year or did he dial it back because the team didn’t need as much? Boston had to be one of the deepest teams in the league with plenty of offensive power.

his contract sucks but I believe he’s still an elite defensive player who will bring a ton of championship experience to this young roster. There isn’t a player on this roster that he won’t help.

lastly I understand the frustration with the contract 3 years for a 35 year old but Jrue is a warrior he’ll come in to camp in great shape every year and give 110%. You need that vet who can come in and calm a team down especially in a playoff game, which is our end goal next season.

Was dealing with a lot of nagging injuries - will he bounce back? Time will tell.

I see one trade listed officially today on NBA.com so maybe this will be listed today as well.

Can't imagine anything else is included. If we were to take on Hauser into our MLE or such it would give Boston a bigger trade exception to roll it into one huge trade. But there would be no advantage from the Blazers end to have that merged with the Ant trade or as two separate deals.

why are other trades listed and not jrue-ant, im starting to think jrue's lack of enthusiasm to join us made us hit the cancel button

I think the trade is a done deal. Now what will be interesting is to see if the team holds a presser in the next little bit. If not, I would bet that we'll flip Jrue.

I do agree that it's interesting that we heard this trade reported and haven't heard much else sense then. Maybe the delay is just us getting the third team involved in the trade before it's finalized for some reason.

this is a clean deal that should have been already official. there was no 3rd team involved. something we don't know is going on

it could just be that a dozen or more teams that have agreed to trades or free agent signings are working to see if there is any advantage to restructuring those deals. Could be a whole lot of multi-phone negotiations going on

Right... so maybe they're amending it to include a third team but I would be shocked if we "hit the cancel button" because I've never heard of that. No way do we want Ant back after having traded him and the Celtics want that cap savings.

maybe jrue failed physical or something. i guess we shall find out soon enough

Maybe the Blazers have been sold and are moving to Seattle.

barfo

Maybe we're keeping Ant and trading Scoot to bring together Dame's superfriends.

A lot more deals are officially now including Cam Whitmore deal agreed to yesterday.

I do think even if it becomes official blazorkor is right that Cronin introducing him will mean much less likely he is flipped .... But if that intro is delayed maybe we're exploring options.

I do wonder if Dame cut is potentially throwing regrets into a 3 year Jrue commitment.

I think Cronin would rather have Jrue than Dame.
You may be right.

But it would be quite a haul to have Two unprotected swaps, two unprotected picks, Camara, and Deni all from the Dame trade. Plus also have Dame.

wondering if sam hauser is being worked into the deal?

we can absorb him into a portion of the MLE... and he's not exactly a downgrade to Kispert.
