That's just, like, your opinion, man.

FWIW, I paid the $4.99 for all the games, but I don't think it's pathetic or anything like that to watch the pirated links, so I provided one for those who wanted it.
 
I refuse to pay for something that I could otherwise watch if Comcast didn't monopolize the ability to do so. Comcast doesn't win, I win.

legality aside, just playing devils advocate here on why some would watch a pirated link. some are reporting the $5 internet feed they paid for as being blacked out.

I've read that, too. Does Comcast have S2 administrators in their back pocket as well?

The Mods point of view is that these types of things need to be PMed (Private Messages on this site) or the site can be put into danger of being shut down. No one is denying your ability to watch for free, here.

Correct. I can't stop anyone from doing it (and not sure that I would if I could) but I still think that it's theft and I find it to be pathetic when it's so cheap to buy it.

for me its all about someone who will ctc... but I'm not admin so cant speak for anyone else other than Sly... that dude would sellout for a pack of gum.

I would have bought the $4.99 SL package but was afraid it would be blackout for me anyway. I'm pretty sure it would be blackout if I purchased. I just watch the replays on NBATV. I rather watch live but for SL isn't that big of a deal for me.
 
I got the iPhone app and paid my $5 to get streaming video... worked great for me Sunday night.

I respect your opinion, but I think you bar for "theft" is too low.

The USG told the American public that income taxes were a temporary measure required for WW2.
Cable TV told us that we had to pay for cable because there would be no commercials.

We've been lied to and had our $ taken by illegitimate and sometimes illegal means. So, when you start taking retribution on these entities for theft -which is really, then I feel comfortable with calling watching games online theft.

My problem is different. At $4.99 for a good stream of all of summer league, I think that's better than the often mediocre free streams out there. In addition, I can re-watch the games at my leisure. i.e, I think in this situation it's smarter to pay.

I live in Eastern Oregon and the streams did not blackout for me.

Not paying taxes and not paying to watch a basketball game are on slightly different levels.
 
I can watch the re-run on NBATV. I just want to watch it live to feel like a badass for doing it against the law.

Makes me feel hard. PS, I jaywalked once.
 
Back On Topic (OK this thread has never really been On Topic), I don't think we're going to win tonight. Jeremy Lamb has averaged 20 a game. Being guarded by Waskully Babbitt, he should go for 30.
 
Why do you think Babbitt's going to guard Lamb. I think Matthews/Smith or Barton get that assignment.
 
Lamb will get his numbers, unless Wes guards him and plays a lot. T. Jones should go off against us. We don't have a 4 who can stay with him. Hopefully Dame and Meylo keep them busy.
