Yeah, that's why I asked for the link. Thanks.Your response basically tells me you did not read the article.
https://www.opb.org/article/2021/07...billups-1997-rape-sexual-assault-allegations/
Billups did nothing wrong during the hiring process and there is no reason to fire him.
unless he has deals lined up and has tampered with agents, etc, i don't see how it could hurt. I'm under the impression we will do nothing significant in the draft anyway.
I disagree with you here.Neil is usually very professional. He is rattled this offseason.
there are other reasons for him to get fired, but this isnt one of them
id keep him in spite of the imbeciles that wont let this thing go, just let them know that street cant run the franchise... fuck them
it would be shocking to me if they have not lineup up potential replacement candidates already.Sure, but how long would it take to find a replacement? I don't think it's a fast process.
Can we just lock this topic -- unless the blazers reverse course and fire him ( not going to happen ) it seems like this is just a pointless post - I am not putting down the original poster of this topic just this needs to go away so we the fans can concentrate on the on court / offseason type stuff.
Just my 2 cents .... well maybe half cent -- LOL
what shit are you rambling about now? We discussed this shit already many times, we are fucking 80 pages deep into this thread. Its been all over media as well. There is a point where enough is enough, its best to just stop discussing and move on or we are gonna be here forever.
Are you not seeing most dont care or have moved on from this? I was talking to those. Those like you that want to keep talking about it can, but once the ones that dont care anymore stop interacting in this discussion, you will see how small the circle of those trying to beat a dead horse is.
It actually seems exactly what I say is correct, ignoring a continuously dead horse topic bothers people more than anything, and now you trying to make it a thing to say we shouldn't ignore it lmao.
Its a very small percentage of people still complaining, and that's a small bunch of fans and Portland media. One or two SI articles doesn't change that.
This has been a bad look for Portland fans, and even pissed off our superstar.
If you ever go to a neutral media forum, like go to youtube or somewhere else for videos posted about the Billups hire, its 90% positive comments, or almost all positive. It makes you understand how toxic and loud these little bunch of sour fans and media can be.
The faster this is behind us is better for ALL involved.
End of discussion.
Actually, I’d ask one of the mods to move any non basketball discussion regarding Billups to the OT part of the forum.
They sure have talked a lot to Brent Barry already.it would be shocking to me if they have not lineup up potential replacement candidates already
This is the new Melo thread. This thread will not be closed. It will not be renamed. It will not be moved to OT. This is the current reality of our team and new coach and we must face it. It will not be conveniently sweeped under the rug. This forum exists to discuss the Blazers and everything involving them.
Some think this has already been rehashed too much, that Billups is innocent, that it's time to move on. Others don't share those views. It's still on page one towards the top. Eventually, it won't be. It will work its way down the page and then disappear onto the 2nd and so forth (before someone eventually bumps its in a year).
Yes. Fire Neil & keep Billups.Do you think firing Neil at this point would be a good idea? We're so close to the draft and free agency. There's no way they could hire a replacement quickly. Also, what would happen to Billups? They fire Neil and keep Billups?
this is a great reminder. They sure have talked a lot to Brent Barry already.
Yes, I'm sure there are many ex-FBI agents in the Oregon area that do investigations on professional athletes. And also happened to make an inquiry to the same department that handled the case 24 years ago.I highly doubt that the guy who they say did the investigation, is actually the guy.
Right wing nutjob, who was easily found in Facebook/Instagram/twitter?
And he didn't come up with a way to make an African American look bad in this case?
This smells like that whole shit about the spa, which turned out to be a made up story.
Former FBI agent who is a total nutter and easily found out on line...uh huh. That just happens to be the one they went with?
It's getting deep in here.

I think that would be a home run of a move. They sure have talked a lot to Brent Barry already.
If they're in full panic fire-fighting mode, I wouldn't put it past them to try to find some way out of the contract.
he seems like a nut. don't go to his twitter page if you're logging in from work.So wait, the guy is supposedly a Blazer fan and transphobic?
That's the guy they "went" with?
Sorry, that doesn't pass the BS test.

It's literally all public information.
The facts are staring you in the face. You can choose to ignore them.

And I'm sure a company worth over 2 billion is going to do this half assed

I don’t understand. Great off season, how? He’s done right?
The talent on the team wasn’t the problem, the COACHING was right?
I’m confused.
