I actually think Teague is an intriguing prospect.
enlighten me, I honestly have not seen him but his numbers look weak and ATL would seem to crave a young PG if they showed anything? what am I missing
Berger thinks it's pryzbilla. And if he does trade miller.... Sounds like teague is our guy.
"I will be the first one to admit that I thought the New Orleans pick would be a higher pick. I will be the first to admit that," Cho said.
You gave up an 11th pick for nothing of value this season, and you left your team without a viable back-up PG.
That's worth firing someone over if I'm running a real business, and not NBA Playland, where the future of a franchise can change course solely on the whims of an owner who views this as a hobby.
Uh, huh. Because players who are undrafted and the 25th pick are often centerpieces of a rebuilding project. Where were Durant and Westbrook chosen again?"I will be the first one to admit that I thought the New Orleans pick would be a higher pick. I will be the first to admit that," Cho said. "But at the same time, I don't think you can say that is going to be a worthless pick, because if you look at two of the guys who are critical components of this team -- Wesley Matthews and Nicolas Batum -- they were undrafted and the 25th pick."

It just seemed like maybe should have more value than that.... but maybe I'm wrong.
To me,trading Bayless was a good move. He's a classic "have a decent game 1 in 5 and hurt you the other 4" player. That 5th game keeps you playing him when he should be gone. I mean, I wish him well, but he wasn't producing on a consistent enough basis and he was given a fair chance to do so.
He saved the Blazers $4.6 million in salary and luxury tax payments this year, got a first round pick and a traded player exception. I think that he's probably got a bit of rope to work with yet.
Agree and he wasn't even a good fit on the Blazers.
Bayless is having some good games with Toronto and I'm happy for him. But I don't get how trading Bayless for anything can be considered a terrible trade. Maybe the pick isn't as high as Cho was thinking, but you weren't going to get a top ten pick for him.
We probably could have gotten Jared Jack in the end instead of a pick . . .
We won't know if that trade was dumb for a couple years. Bayless isn't exactly setting the world on fire. He's a 15 minute a night guy on an awful team.
Or 22 mpg. You're only off by more than 50%.

Sure, if you want to include the time that Calderon has been hurt and Bayless was the starter because they have nobody else at the point.
You mean reality? As in what's actually happened?
Yeah. Let's include reality.

Would I rather have Bayless right now? Yes, better watching him that Mills/Johnson...
with the talk of trading for teague the question is how do you get him? they dont really have huge contracts that arent doing anything for them right now that we could take on for them. Maybe taking on bibby for miller? that might actually work for them? Not sure. I also thought they were high on teague... i dont remember where i read that so i could be wrong but i thought they were. any ideas?
Seriously? I would take P.Mills over Bayless at this point.Al blew it when he traded Bayless, so he is defensive.

Mills has played worse than Bayless....and has a lower ceiling.
Stats per 36 minutes:
Player A: 15.4 points, 5.4 assists, 3.1 turnovers, 40% FG, 31% 3FG, 12.7 PER
Player B: 15 points, 6.6 assists, 3.4 turnovers, 41% FG, 28% 3FG, 13 PER
They are virtually the same. I also don't see why Bayless has a higher ceiling.

Bayless has a 14.7 PER with Toronto. He was jerked around in New Orleans.
He also has a higher rebound rate, assist rate, and LOWER usage rate, despite everyone calling Mills more a point guard than Bayless. Also, while Bayless may not be a stud on defense, Patty is probably one of the worst defenders in the league at his position. Bayless has a better NBA body, and is more athletic. He's a better prospect going forward.
You're missing the bottom line- Bayless is a train wreck at PG. Mills isn't.
