CIA: Russia influenced the election

So Russian hackers on the FBI Most Wanted list is nothing?

Oh wait, I already know the answer, The Most Wanted List is garbage because Hillary isn't on it.

The Russians didn't set up an illegal server and use it to commit pay for play crimes (among others). They didn't fix the primaries against Sanders.

If those things were OK, you know who would be the president elect instead of Trump.

You can't whine and complain about the Russians hacking us while we're hacking most, if not all, of our allies. There is no high ground to stand on there.

Not at all.

Just that all the bullshit being thrown against the wall, hoping something sticks, is just that - bullshit.

Well, when it comes to throwing shit against the wall hoping something sticks - you are the expert.

1. I'm not whining and complaining about anything.

2. I agree that what Hillary did was wrong. Illegal? That seems to be the argument. That's why I said it's time to enact laws that will clearly prevent something like that from ever happening again. Severs, pay to play, all fucked up. We obviously need to strengthen the laws against this bullshit.

3. Saying that someone or something isn't bad because someone else is worse is not a valid argument.

Yep, I know it when I see it.

Been seeing it for months, especially from the media. At least they are mostly resigned to the reality of the election results.

When an election is about the lesser of two evils, then yes it is a valid argument. It's the argument Clinton made the whole election.

The emails released clearly showed at least a willingness to give priority to Clinton Foundation donors while Clinton was at State.

How about these Russian connections?

When an election is about the lesser of two evils

So you actually think Trump is evil but you defend him?

That's like saying Jeffery Dalmer was evil but it's okay that he ate his victims because he was hungry.

"Hey man, they were already dead. It's better than letting them spoil and go to waste."

I think Trump is the lesser of the two evils. For now, I'm judging him on what he's actually doing and not what feeble minded fearmongers on twitter say about him.

One thing you can say for Dahmer, he didn't have an email server in his basement.

Taibbi's a great writer. His main beat is Wall Street and he popularized the "Vampire Squid" analogy. He's pretty much an anti-establishment cynic, so wait until Trump's actually in power before he unloads fully. Still:

Taibbi said:
I have no problem believing that Vladimir Putin tried to influence the American election. He's gangster-spook-scum of the lowest order and capable of anything. And Donald Trump, too, was swine enough during the campaign to publicly hope the Russians would disclose Hillary Clinton's emails. So a lot of this is very believable.

Bear in mind also that his (Taibbi's) family is Russian, and he speaks it fluently, so he knows whereof he speaks about Putin.

Just that all the bullshit being thrown against the wall, hoping something sticks, is just that - bullshit
I didn't want a wall anyway but if they build it...people will throw shit at it...glad I don't like on the border...the flies...the horror!

I think Trump is the lesser of the two evils.

Evil is evil. If you think Hillary and Trump are both evil then you think Trump is evil.

You're saying that breast cancer isn't as bad testicular cancer because you don't have boobs.

No, cancer is cancer. There is no lesser cancer.

Your analogies are stupid.

Trump got my attention when he said he was going to win Ohio, PA, etc., and he did. When he said it, it seemed delusional. But when it came to be, it lends a ton of credibility to other things he's said. The proof is in the doing, not in what are proving to be lies about him.

Trump is the lesser of the two evils, by far.

Trump said he's going to win the black vote in 2020. To do that, black people will have to win a lot. Why would anyone be against that?

If he doesn't govern to benefit black people, he won't get my vote (wouldn't anyway) or from many who voted for him this time.

Ok, and what about when he said he was going to win CA and NY?

barfo

Ok, and what about when he said he was going to win CA and NY?

That was early in the campaign.

He said he'd win those blue wall states the day before the election. Or close to then. He didn't need to spend money in NY and CA to win the election.

Okay... so things he says that come true give him credibility, but things he says that don't come true don't detract from his credibility.

And you do realize that pretty much every candidate says they are going to win, right? If Hillary had won would you be saying that gave her 'a ton of credibility'?

barfo

Yeah, that was kind of my point...

barfo

That she didn't come through?

OK

We agree on that.

Like I said, Trump's claim looked delusional at the time. He did come through.

I like most of what he's done as president elect. If that's what he does for the next 4 years, you are going to be sad next presidential election day, too.

How about that right track/wrong track? Swing in the right direction since the election.

Lesser of two evils means they're both evil.

So what?

Trump is far less evil.

I wish it was Gary Johnson, but it isn't.

When given lemons, make lemonade. And at least this lemonade is tasty.

That's not lemonade you are drinking, Denny.

He's since said he thought he was going to lose. So, in other words, he thought he was lying when he said that.

Trump: "I'm going to win Ohio, PA etc.!"
