The Russians didn't set up an illegal server and use it to commit pay for play crimes (among others). They didn't fix the primaries against Sanders.

If those things were OK, you know who would be the president elect instead of Trump.

When an election is about the lesser of two evils, then yes it is a valid argument. It's the argument Clinton made the whole election.

The emails released clearly showed at least a willingness to give priority to Clinton Foundation donors while Clinton was at State.

Taibbi's a great writer. His main beat is Wall Street and he popularized the "Vampire Squid" analogy. He's pretty much an anti-establishment cynic, so wait until Trump's actually in power before he unloads fully. Still:

I have no problem believing that Vladimir Putin tried to influence the American election. He's gangster-spook-scum of the lowest order and capable of anything. And Donald Trump, too, was swine enough during the campaign to publicly hope the Russians would disclose Hillary Clinton's emails. So a lot of this is very believable.

Bear in mind also that his (Taibbi's) family is Russian, and he speaks it fluently, so he knows whereof he speaks about Putin.

Trump got my attention when he said he was going to win Ohio, PA, etc., and he did. When he said it, it seemed delusional. But when it came to be, it lends a ton of credibility to other things he's said. The proof is in the doing, not in what are proving to be lies about him.
