When is Trump going to use his negotiating prowess to compel Congress to fulfill his agenda?

Trump shouldn't have fired Comey?

Oh, to the contrary!
Now he should also do Mueller and the assistant AG.
Let us see this government run with one chief executive like the Constitution states.

Yes, and? That had no relevance to what I said nor did it contradict what I said in any way. A grand jury is one of the most powerful tools an investigation has and it's generally only used when there's significant basis for investigation. Grand juries aren't convened trivially when the prosecutor in charge believes there's no merit.

The SPECIAL INVESTIGATOR is tasked with disproving a conspiracy theory. He's going to have to ask those (wrongly) accused under oath if they participated in any collusion. This is how he has to disprove this silly conspiracy theory.

Nothing more to read into it than this. No significant basis for investigation.

Do I have to bow to him too and call him King?

You'd probably see it differently if it were a Democratic President.

Nope! I did not like it at all when this sort of shit was going on when Clinton was President.
We had buildings being blown up, ships attacked, all sorts of enemy attacks and we are being entertained by tales of the fucking blue dress and abused cigars!!! Utter bullshit.

I think that's Nate's point, Denny. They voted for his agenda, which included claims of near-immediate results. However, those promised near-immediate results don't seem to have actually materialized (at least from my observation).

So the question isn't, "Why did people support Trump initially," so much as, "What has PapaD done since taking office to deserve their continuing support?" That is to say, has he actually delivered any of the agenda for which people voted (I acknowledge that it's possible that I've missed something significant), and if not, why are said people remaining so steadfast in support of him?

He ran against the organized democrats, organized republicans, and the swamp. There are a lot of people who think he's the only one who will effect change.

Regardless of immediate successes.

The lack of success is in due in large part to those resisting change doing so with a vengeance. This would only strengthen the Peoples' resolve.

If the SPECIAL INVESTIGATOR wants to look into actual crimes, he should investigate the leakers.

I am begining to think, it will take the 2018 elections before we get to it. A whole bunch of Rhinos will go down, as they should.

So to answer the question, he hasn't actually accomplished anything, and he's retaining support because of the perception that his agenda is only failing because of corrupt establishment obstructionists?

Why would these people want someone who's status quo?

And he has accomplished plenty to satisfy much of his base.

Keystone Pipeline
Supreme Court Justice
Stock Market up
Jobs

And likely to come:
Emphasis (still) on repeal and replace
Budget
Tax reform
etc.

Sure, DennyAnne. I've missed your sunny presence on the morning shows recently--Trump administration keeping you under wraps for now?

Pound the table. You stoop to insults since the facts aren't on your side (again!).

What's the insult? I referred to your sunny disposition.

Also, you didn't provide any facts. Just propaganda. But that's part of the job, so I don't blame you or anything.

A lot of people did vote for him. Tens of millions. You and I might not agree fully with his agenda, but those tens of millions do.

That might be a wee bit of an exaggeration. A vote doesn't necessarily imply full agreement with every aspect of the candidates agenda.

If he's losing support from them, my read is they're pissed he's not accomplishing MORE.

Yes, he's incompetent, and that is indeed part of the problem.

Or shoplifting at Walmart. Or, look over there, it's a squirrel!

Keep pounding that table. It's all you have.

That is the kind of stuff he's wasting the taxpayer's money on. Seems you do get it.

Right. And for that, he needs (at least) 16 high-powered attorneys?

The Dennyial is strong today.

Another achievement is a massive decrease in undocumented immigration.

God knows why people care about people wanting to be here, but they do.

Plus lots of executive orders, which is how Obama governed for 7.5 years.

Trump supporters, pre-election: He's an incredible deal-maker. Nobody can force those fat establishment types to the negotiating table and win every deal like he can. He's going to crush all resistance.

Trump supporters, now: Geez, guys, no one knew how hard it would be to make deals. Did you know that not everyone agrees with Trump and, when that happens, it's super-hard to do things? What kind of power or skill could he possibly have to get through resistance to his agenda?

1 attorney for each bogus point in the conspiracy theory.

It's looking, like I said, as if the focus is on Flynn, who did commit a crime. And no special investigator is needed to throw the book at him.

As a propagandist, isn't pounding the table pretty literally your entire job?

It's you that's pounding the table. Trying to weasel out of your own mess again.
