The right: do what Trump says,
Also the right: don’t do what trump says, liberate
Also the right: it’s the governors in charge
Also the right: this isn’t trumps fault it’s the states fault
Also the right: the states should be in charge
Never said he had the right to shut them down, so....
Never support protests, so...
Trump’s fault? So he has mind control of the people? Well, I bet you actually agree on that.
If a State Governor chooses to open or shut down the State, it’s their decision. I’ve believed that in the beginning. Show me where I said the contrary.

yeah and him tweeting out to his cult that they should be “liberate” for their “second amendment rights” doesn’t have any impact or fuck things up for the governors.

So many dumbass posts

@magnifier661 I got a question or two for you....... I asked these EXACT questions from the other 3 or 4 Trump supporters while you were gone and got crickets....no answer whatsoever. So I'll ask you......

You know I got nothing but love for you man. I know you are a successful happily married man with kids. You seem to be educated. That said how can somebody like yourself defend President Trump?
I don't do politics, I leave that to the experts. I will honestly vote for somebody that has good people skills over whatever plan they have for our economy.
Does he speak for you?
Are you teaching your kids it's OK to treat other people with such disdain and disrespect?
Honest question. Would you allow him to be in a room with your wife?
Are his opinions, YOUR opinions?
Would you print his tweets, put them in a book and read them to your family?

I normally fuck around on here, but this is something that really bugs me. It bugs me that people who I know are good, smart and decent people actually support this guy.
You know I put my kids first over everything......... if my son said the things this president says and treats people the way he does, I'd kick his ass so fast! I have spent 18 years teaching him to be respectful to people even if you don't agree with them.

Curious if you are 150% behind this man, just cause? I just know deep down, you wouldn't treat people the way he does. Politics aside, he just isn't a good human being. Am I way off here brother.

here’s to hopin

I never hope anyone dies. That was not my implication or suggestion. I was portending that his supporters going out in the thick of this will spread the virus. Some of them will die. How many? Who knows. But, it is a bad risk. Trump should have never put gasoline to the fire and preached to them to liberate. He was headed at least in the general correct direction beginning to talk more with governors and setting guidelines. His sudden about face will cost him.

Nope. But it’s the governor’s decision. He’s going to have to answer if there is an infection explosion.

Of courae he will blame the govenors, but he is also encouraging protesting and defying state orders. Your boy never takes responsibility and his supporters keep backing him like a cult leader. Amazes me how his supporters buy into all his bs. Why do you?

Not only military. The FDA approving a drug has risk. I can list many others if you like.

Not the same. Yeah, there is risk of the FDA approving drugs, but they have strict guidelines and they stand by them unlike someone else we know. The risk is minimized there.

Very good question.
1.) No politician is a role model. They are all liars and cheats, even Obama.
2.) My vote and defense for Trump isn’t about his persona, it’s about the policies.
3.) Any of my kids ever ask to put faith in a man or women, I tell them they should live by their principles. My oldest daughter is a Bernie supporter. We have our debates, but I respect her for her own decision.
4.) I absolutely love how Trump has totally destroyed the media’s strong hold on the people. I think the media is the enemy of the people. Felt that way long before Trump.
5.) I like how Trump is forcing the Republicans to fight for infrastructure and leftists’ policies. Forgot to add this.

I guess I'm not on the right because fuck all of them. The feds and the states need to do everything they can to help the sick.

If you want to hide in your house knock yourself out. We were in the car coming back from riding our bikes and there is a guy in the car next to us with his stupid fucking mask pulled down and he's holding a fast food sandwich in his gloved hands.

I'm so SCARED I'M GONNA WEAR GLOVES AND A MASK EVERYWHERE!!!!!!

and then go pickup a sammich where thousands of other people have been and hope the guy who made my food isn't sick.

Thanks for your honest opinion and YES, I realize that politicians aren't role models, most are sketchy.
This is what I assumed, you just like that he is mixing it up and causing chaos to the establishment. That I can respect and understand. I have a feeling that is the reason people do support him.
But above in number 3, brother, there is NO WAY IN HELL you live by the same principles as Trump. NO WAY! You are a quality father and husband. You don't treat people the way he does. And you added Obama at the end for some reason. Do you know how happy that would make me to sit down and talk to him. He is just a good human being right?
The sad thing is, Trump has affected how I treat people. My whole life I have never had an issue with anybody. Regardless of color/religion, doesn't matter. But when I see somebody now with a Trump hat or t-shirt, I actually feel disdain for them. I don't have a lot of experience with hate, but I think that is what I'm feeling. That is sad. That I will look at somebody differently now because of what's on a hat. That's just not me bro. Actually scares me that I'm having feelings like that.
I wish more would admit that they like the IDEA of him and not actually him.
Love ya man, hope the family is well.

I’ve posted this on Facebook

I’m going to make a prediction:
If California doesn’t loosen up restrictions by May 15th, there will be major protests by the people, like tens of thousands of people. This won’t even be right-wingers either.

Poverty will make people do desperate things, especially if their civil rights are violated.

Public workers will be getting laid off the longer the shut down. Large state revenue is from income, sales, and business tax. When the businesses aren’t bringing in revenue, the states lose revenue.

We will run out of “other people’s money.”

Anderson Cooper was right (assuming he said what's super-imposed on the screen)...trump doesn't have the power to override 10th Amendment power granted to governors in health emergencies

I don't know what Wolf Blitzer said or what the context was. But trump, after his declaration of a national emergency, could have issued a federal stay-at-home order that would have covered all 50 states. Now, that order he would have the power to rescind. But the states would have still had the power to issue their own stay at home orders

in other words, that image you posted that purports to show conflict between assertions on CNN, may not be showing any conflict at all because of missing context. I'm even more skeptical right now because I'm wondering who it was that typed that text on the right of both images. I doubt it was CNN. It could have been Sean Hannity's assistant using photoshop

Just my gut guesses and thoughts, which could change in the next 5 minutes, based on new reports.

It is not a matter of IF many of us get the virus, just WHEN. We already lost the social distancing battle to stop the virus.

I am not sure social distancing was ever meant to stop the virus. It was meant to flatten the curve so we did not overload the health care system.

If you never test positive due to a natural immunity, consider yourself lucky, and make many babies.

Once this virus runs it course, things will get back to normal. Either everyone will carry the virus, or, have a natural immunity to it. Well, for those that are left. Many old mossy horns like myself may not be around anymore to herd you young unicorns.

My biggest concern is for the young that test positive and survive. Will carrying this virus cause health complications years from now? It may take decades before those remaining know all the answers.

The good news is. The mortality rate is much much lower than the early estimates.. So most of you will still be around 4 years from now to bitch about your new president, Bodyman.

I brought up Obama because he is looked at as a good standing person. I think even right wingers that are honest with themselves would agree.

yep, I’ve had a lot of friends unfriend me for supporting Trump. Some even said they wished I died.

no, Trump’s personal principles are far from mine. The political and ideological principles are the same.

you know I love ya man!

You want to sit down and chill in Obama's mansion? He's a corporate owned war criminal. He doesn't care about you or your kids any more than Trump does. Obama cares about climate change huh?

People were so desperate they voted for Trump. You have any idea how much the Clinton Foundations revenue has dropped since 2016? A ton. Why? Guess.

It’s not correct. The President, even after declaring a national emergency cannot go against the constitution. Even governors cannot force people to stay indoors, even with a National Emergency.
Governors can shut down the ability to commerce, but then the President has authority to open them up because it effects national commerce.

Obama is a fraud. How many people here have had a boss that you thought was amazing and then found out he talks shit about all of you when his boss asks him why something went wrong?

Most my friends and are big time Trump supporters. Love the guy!

I can run circles around my friends as soon as politics are brought to discussion. In fact they hate even having the discussion with me. They aren’t very knowledgeable. I think that’s how Trump likes it.

but I love the guys like brothers and have been friends with these people 20+ years.

people who form opinions about other people based on their political beliefs are some of the worst

Some like coke, some like Pepsi. Skippy/jiffy. Chevy/Ford.

I actually voted for Obama his first term. I was pretty upset when he didn’t bring the change he promised.

If Biden wins we'll be bitching about a new President twice during those 4 years.

I had barely heard of the guy when he gave a speech after the DNC convention or some event years ago and I teared up listening to him.

It was an amazing speech. He has a gift. Too bad it was all bullshit.

Yep, some of my very close friends, most Trump haters, we still hang. We are Bros till the end.

we just don’t bring up politics. They know my position and I know theirs. Sometimes we have our spats, but it will never destroy our friendships.

He could have made a declaration, but it wouldn't have been binding. More of a figurative gesture of leadership. The Governors couldn't be forced to follow through, but as we have seen they would have with all the shutdowns. As it is, Trump decided not to take it seriously or act like a leader...big surprise.

He’s probably one of the best speakers of my lifetime. I would say Reagan was really good as well.

Trump is the wrecking ball I want to destroy the media. The more he attacks them, the more I love him. There’s a lot of collateral damage though, but the end of the media’s stranglehold on public opinion will make this country great again. Both sides will want to work together. The public will use their own minds again.

But, you claimed it above that only the governor had the power to reopen it, and it was on them, not Trump
