We can play that game with the Obama Administration. He lost the super majority during the midterms. Lost even more after his second election. :dunno:

Yeah, he did. But that's kind of irrelevant, since no one was claiming that Obama was going to usher in an era of unity by 'destroying the media'.

There is a briefing. If the reporters don’t want to ask questions pertaining to covid-19, then that’s on them. I watched Dr Birx explain a lot. I also saw why a beach in a county can open their beach because she has confidence their health director.

Well...when things are explained well questions need not be asked. Trump always brings up questions because of his actions and words.

It’s absolutely relevant. That’s usually the trend after a general. The only difference is, the Democrats won those mid terms by promising working with the Republicans. They didn’t.

Very possible. But reporters can ignore that and get to the bottom of the news. They continue to fall for his trap and become the story.

They promised no such thing

Yes, it's usually the trend. But a game-changer like Trump who is going to usher in a new era of unity by destroying the media should be able to buck the trend, don't you agree? Otherwise, how is this new era ever going to happen? I mean, that can't just be another empty promise, can it?

We should find out in about 8 months. Let’s see what happens. I’m pretty confident the Dems will lose the house. I know my district is pounding on the dem candidate. The collective Republican vote was double the Dems.

Yes of course! And it’s not putting words in your mouth. Adding a question mark isn’t putting words in your mouth. I’m asking you a question.

the FDA is part of the federal government. Their decisions effect and risk lives, regardless on how strict and stringent they are. Lives are still at risk.

Your "question mark" as you put it, was an implication that I said something that I did not say. Equating the current situation to the FDA or as you tried a couple days ago, to also compare it to traffic deaths is huge stretch and both are poor analogies.

Seems to me that you are doing things in the wrong order, because instead of researching and arriving at a formulated conclusion, you are instead first making a claim and when confronted you search for ways to justify what you have claimed.

Just the way it seems from my end.

You mean in 2018? I don't know what district you are in so not sure what you are talking about. But your district voting republican doesn't imply the rest of the country will do the same.

Did you correctly predict that Dems would win the house in 2018?

I actually did predict it. I knew we weren’t going to lose the senate though.

my district is 25.

Stand corrected. You’re right. It was healthcare. That didn’t happen either. They didn’t even pass any legislation for health care.

I'm sure it is sitting on McConnell's desk

I can provide many, but the most recent was when CNN changed headlines when the Democrats blocked the vote in Senate. I’ll tell you what. When I get free time. I will put together why I think the media is the enemy of the people. It will take a couple days, but I will provide links, picture examples and media clips. Deal?

But like he said, you cannot on one hand proclaim that the media is the "enemy of the people" and then turn around and use links from the media which you condemned, to support your narrative du jour. You can't have it both ways.

My comments of the media being the enemy of the people and sharing the links is for reference. I only share links with supporting information to validate my claim.

problem with the media is their interjection of opinion to the story. That isn’t reporting, that’s opinion.

Firstly, it’s not a bail out because the airlines are in trouble by no fault of their own. This isn’t like the bank crash of 2007.

The Dems, giving them credit, made sure of that. All money borrowed must be paid back. None of that money can be used in buy backs or executive raises. So no, it’s not a bail out.

P.S. wrong thread

what briefing? This was suppose to be a briefing on the coronavirus not a ploitcal rally to slam the media the democrats and anything else that trump likes to battle with. Is that really a sign of a leader that is trying to bring the country together? No, he just keeps separating it further

Media bad...Trump good.

Wrong.

$3.5 billion is a grant. Free money. Don't have to payback.

$1.5 billion is a low interest loan.

Gov. Brown is impeding covid-19 testing and its not right!
She's been sitting on test kits with to stiff of guidelines for testing, it's not an inventory issue but a policy issue. She needs to use the test kits and ramp up our lagging position as compared to Washington & CA.
She also put the stops on tracing a month ago because she admitted they couldn't keep up the effort for lack of manpower which is something she should have been addressing and now its part of the gate criteria hat both Washington and CA. are using.

Ah, so you are talking about the special election? Doesn't look to me like the GOP got anywhere close to twice the votes.

Media bad...Trump good.
Why can’t you say both are bad? Don’t you think it’s the media’s responsibility to get to the truth? Don’t you believe it’s irresponsible of them to get into a pissing match with Trump, instead of asking questions to the response team?

it doesn’t have to be binary

I’d like to see that. I haven’t seen the reports. I guess the Dems were lying then. Wouldn’t be the first time.
