It isn't a wasted vote though. No matter how many times you say it. No matter how many times CNN and Fox say it. Voting is literally the one way we supposedly have of telling the government what we want. It's not handing out pamphlets or making phone calls or emails they can ignore it's our vote. When we continue to just vote for the eels and the bugs and say well at least it's not sand, we are telling them over and over and over again how we are ok with the cycle they have created, that even though we know they're bugs and they aren't good for us either well that's alright because at least it's not an eel. It's a treadmill that the corporate media and sponsored politicians have created. People buying into the fallacy that not voting for the DNC and GOP's garbage is wasting their vote is a shame, it causes a lot of people to stay home. It bullies people into making decisions they don't want to make. Our votes are supposed to be our voice to the leaders of the country, it's supposed to help mold the country. It's not supposed to be picked for us by lobbyists, corporations, and lawmakers who make laws that benefit themselves.

I'd equate this more like being on a deserted island with an eel that will shock and kill you, or a poisonous bug that will kill you, or a raft that even if the chances are low you find civilization you still have a shot. I'll take the raft cause that's the only chance at survival that I see.

I believe I said it is my opinion and I respect anyone having their own opinion. The scenario you provided is not one that makes sense to me - because equating the 3rd option to a raft you can take is the logical solution in that case - where voting for a 3rd party is not going to do anything in the current upcoming election - which is my exact point.

This is only true if you consider both viable candidates to be equally repugnant and that's seems like it's virtually impossible.

I left a considering both equally repugnant a virtual possibility.
Still, you always support Trump over any Democrat which leads me to believe that you consider the Democrat to be more repugnant unless you expect the Democrat to be perfect while letting the Republican get a pass.

I do not eat that kind of sushi. I only eat my wife's Korean version of sushi which contains no eel nor any raw meat, seafood or otherwise. The only raw meat I eat is oysters on the half shell and that needs to be accompanied by plenty of good quality beer although I did have some Dom Perignon with my raw oysters once and it was great.

The context of my comments concerned what he has done in this regard since taking office. As far as I know, those comments were made years previous.

That's your entire problem.

I hate both of the parties. I just hate the Democrats worse.

I hate their entire platform now. I hate their entire open border, intersectional race war agenda. I hate people like Gavin Newsom trying to say with a straight face that doctors should be able to "prescribe shelter"



I hate the anti gay pro life part of the Republican platform but they ain't ever going to be able to do anything with that so who cares?

Then it boils down to them both being owned by corporations in totality. They push these agendas because too many people focus on abortion or if trans athletes should be allowed or which restroom is ok while they all live lavish lifestyles on our dimes.

By the way, I would have voted for Tulsi over Trump but now she was the only one. Now that she has endorsed Biden I don't much care for her either.
 
So I don't think Trump or Biden are more or less evil than each other.

I lean ever so slightly to the party on the right so that's the tie breaker.

Except that the word dotard exists independently and has a completely different meaning. The suffix is not actually "tard" from "retard", but "ard", like with "drunkard". The root word is "dote", from the middle Dutch "doten", which means "silly". The order of the last 4 letters notwithstanding, the words are unrelated.
