The Spurs have 6 1st round picks in the next 2 years. That would be optimum. But Dame saying he only wants to go to Miami is completely screwing Portland.

Thanks for the loyalty. That is his parting shot to completely hose Portland on his way out. That leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
Woj said the 76ers, not the spurs lol

Woj mentioned the Spurs and Clippers as well. I’m hoping he’s accurate about the Spurs.

The rumor is that Dame was all-in a few days ago, but then he later saw the story about the removal of his image from the front of the Rose Garden and changed his mind.

I know about the story, but him changing his mind because of that would be so petty so to you sir I say this is a troll post that needed green font!

If Cronin caves and trades a player with no no trade clause for lesser value to make that player happy he needs to go, he’s in over his head.

Tyler Herro is a zero. No thanks, brah!
We have no use for another guard. They would have to get great value for him from a third team that does need him in order for a trade to Miami to make any sense. Joe better fucking be shrewd in this deal.

Damian Lillard doesn't have a No-Trade Clause to waive or even a Trade Kicker. This, he will only go to MIA thing, is bullsh!t. We can send him anywhere. I don't think we would be mean and send him to Charlotte or anything but we should not only talk to MIA.
I would talk to Charlotte. I would talk to Zvezda and Partizan if they could give us a good enough package.

We showed our loyalty by giving him that contract. He can choose to accept it and go where we send him, or he can walk away from it. He has the financial freedom to do so.

The Clyde trade still stings. We gave him everything he wanted, and he showed his gratitude by going into the HoF as a Rocket. No more Otis Thorpes for our best player.

Dude, if that post requires green font, you need to take a few days away from this board.

Don't blame him for leaving.

Would blame him for doing that though.

Scoot and Shaedon are our future Ant can get 30 minutes coming off the bench behind those two guys. I think Nurk has to be included in the Dame trade. Again the Nets are the team that makes the most sense because they have a trade exception (actually two) big enough to take Nurk so we could shed salary, they have the picks, they have young players and expiring contracts.

when has Chauncey ever shown he'll make a move like benching Ant? I can't believe you expect him to do something like that. You, like me, complained about Dame/CJ; then about Dame/Ant. How is Scoot/Ant any different...other than Ant has talent about 3 tiers below Dame?

as for Brooklyn, have they ever really hinted they'd be interested in Dame? Miami and Philly have; maybe NY; maybe LAC; but Nets?

I am happy about not paying him 60 mil at 36 years old. That’s about it though. Unless we get lots of picks and young BIGS it’s a pretty dark day.

They all leave eventually.
Yep they do, but young NBA players look at what the Cities have to offer after the money criteria. The NBA now has a form of Player Portal like D1 football. If you are a small market you better have a sharp (pardon the pun) marketing department and a reason for players to not want to jump.

And he probably will. Cronin doesn't know what the fuck he is doing. He can't make a decent trade to save his life.

If Shams got this right, then Shams can kick rocks along with Dame. Miami can pound sand.
AND no Western Conference teams, especially the Spurs with Wemby and the Lakers. Just no.

I'm sorry to see Dame go - he is one of my all time Blazers favorites. And I'm sorry that they weren't able to build a contender around him but that's water under the bridge now. I hope that they can now move forward with some talented young guys and build a fun, competitive team moving forward. Hopefully the fun starts next week in Vegas!

At this point, I don't really give a crap. I hope we can trade Grant somehow. Or else mutually terminate his contract.
