Ah we’ve reached the online e-peen waving stage of grief about places that are better to live and political drivel. Death and taxes.

if true, two things:

1) whoever it was earlier who said Dame waited till his friend Grant got paid before asking for a trade can go pound sand

2) signing Grant to that deal makes no fucking sense unless it turns into a S&T. If it doesn't...wtf?
As long as he can be traded before the deadline, we are okay.

He didn't ask for a trade when he had Roco, Nance, Powell.

They got him Hart, Grant, and GP2 and traded two out of three of them for picks.

Then he requested a trade.

So your argument is the Blazers should have done the same thing for Dame they'd been doing for Dame for years that already was failing?

To each their own. Seems like the definition of insanity to me.

LOL. Florida’s economy is booming, people have flocked there since the pandemic, and the government is so functional that the incumbent governor was re-elected in a landslide. I WISH Oregon’s government was so horrible.

Good to see people flock to be opposed and those same people are okay with others being oppressed. Still doesn't make it right.

A bunch of people are out of touch partisans who don't realize the parties reversed in terms of who is doing the direct bidding of transnational corporations, Big Pharma, Big Military Industrial Complex, the Banks and the Intelligence agencies. You know, stuff the Left used to correctly be against. People are caught up acting like we needed a redo of the 1960's and don't see who's bank rolling all the CEI/DEI stuff. It's Davos WEF folks and it's NOT to help People of color or LGBTQ+ it's to take EVERYONE's property. Don't believe me, listen to the WEF's own word's "In 2030, you will OWN NOTHING. And you will be happy." They definitely mean the first part. Look at what's happening to Dutch farmers and Canadian farmers. People need to look at proposals all over Europe in Germany and Ireland for two examples of proposals to seize properties. If you watch what's happening in Europe you will get a preview of what is coming here.

So then getting ANY veterans means doing the same thing by your logic?

That's pretty stupid.

LMAO at people blaming Olshey when he hasn't been with the team for two years. Bending over backwards to excuse Cronin through all his lies and schilling for Jody Allen.

Unbelievable.

Olshey put this franchise in a position which couldn't be remedied overnight. And while Cronin may or may not be a good GM, everything has to run through Bert Kolde.
There is plenty of blame to go around.

Never will until they start caring about people.

I'm sorry for people who defend Florida.
They were the only state that didn't have MASS job losses of people's livelihood's and homes because they didn't go along with the idiotic and WORTHLESS (actually actively bad) lockdowns which lead to sky rocketing rates of cancer and other diseases that went untreated, loss of jobs, loss of homes due to loss jobs and endless knock on effects. It's like people just believe the hype/media and never do even one iota of research except on sports. People on here might be vastly beyond me for sports, but ya'll saying Florida sucks have completely missed the boat on the past 3 years, what happened, why and what's going to happen as they openly state it.

I say this as a person who is literally illegal in Florida: if the oppression doesn't affect Dame; why should he care? If you're expecting some soft-hearted empathy from Dame, that he'll take some sort of ethical stand that doesn't also benefit him, you're going to be disappointed. And honestly I don't expect that from any player who isn't directly affected. That's the biz.

Or Kulaks which lead to the Holodomor in Ukraine and a huge collapse in agriculture in Russia. They created class envy between landless peasants and small farmers JUST to expropriate the land which they claimed would be used to help the landless, it lead to millions dying of starvation. Anyone cheering on divisive stuff (as opposed to wanting to eliminate Red Lining, notice how THAT is never discussed?) is ultra naive to history.

Darn those African slaves for their divisiveness that caused the Civil War and then 150-plus years of the sons of the Confederacy wanting to win the peace.

Dame was his own undoing, and ours.

In response to publicly giving the Blazers an ultimatum, opposing teams (and Grant's agent) asked for the moon, putting us in an untenable situation.

What's sad is that I don't think he has the wherewithal to understand that.
Maybe he did it on purpose. If he doesn't tank the offers, no team could give up near equal value and still be a contender.

Generally like your posts but this isn't the thread or forum for this conversation.

the houston rockets are gonna blow our doors off ... and they were BAD

we might be the worst team in the league next year...

with a historically weak draft
The draft will be just fine. No Wemby or Scoot, but players will emerge and by, say, March, the draft will feel like almost every other one. If we're bad, we'll get a very very good prospect from the draft. It looks like there is a nice batch of 6'8"+ guys projected in the top 10, which would be nice based on how our roster seems to be shaping up moving forward.

The future is bright, and can't wait to see this young squad develop. So much potential as is, and now we add to it. Be fun to see who takes the reigns...Obviously, Scoot seems to have the alpha gene, but this opens the door for Sharpe. This is what makes the game fun. Happy for Chauncey as well.

Give it a rest. It's been two years. Every player on this roster right now is because of Cronin. Every contract and extension was given by Cronin.

But I agree, as with anything, the rot starts from the top. We desperately need new ownership.

I strongly suggest you don't go there. It's already been a bad enough day.
But you stand by what others said? Wow Blazersedge 2.0. Either ban political speech across the board (I'd love that btw), or just admit you want this site to be yet another Partisan Dem site. Feel free to delete ALL political posts, but if you only delete the ones you dislike well, I can just leave the board. I'm done with this stuff. This is America, we have something called freedom of speech and if you're going to go down the road of censoring anyone who disagrees with the DNC, then I will gladly leave. I'm done with that trash.
