None of the teams mentioned are gonna be able to give us a good deal back smh

But you stand by what others said? Wow Blazersedge 2.0. Either ban political speech across the board (I'd love that btw), or just admit you want this site to be yet another Partisan Dem site. Feel free to delete ALL political posts, but if you only delete the ones you dislike well, I can just leave the board. I'm done with this stuff. This is America, we have something called freedom of speech and if you're going to go down the road of censoring anyone who disagrees with the DNC, then I will gladly leave. I'm done with that trash.

Freedom of speech only protects you from the government.

We're moving on.

Kinda funny how Dame being talked into sitting out games has resulted in him requesting a trade.

It is banned. It's fine to do it there is an OT section for it. For fucks sake the thread about the biggest Blazers news in decades does not need it... on either side.

So then getting ANY veterans means doing the same thing by your logic?

That's pretty retarded.

I don't recall saying that. Please stop trying to mischaracterized.

You said Dame wanted veteran players, the implication that the Blazers weren't doing that for him. I pointed out that we did a lot of that for him, and you immediately moved the goalpost to something along the lines of "that was then, this is now." I responded that Dame's method was part of the thing that got the Blazers and Dame into the situation they were in.

I didn't have a problem with making a trade involving draft picks. I have a problem with trading multiple draft picks for Robert Covington-level players. If you can't understand the value of picks and the importance of the team over the player if that's what it comes down to, all I have to say is I hope you aren't making personnel decisions anywhere.

Sure, understood. But as they say, it takes years to build a reputation, seconds to destroy it. Great player forever, but he lost the loyalty reputation.
He did no such thing. This dude put his time in like nobody else for not only the franchise, but the damn city. No hate should be tossed his way.

I sure wouldn't want to move my family to Florida with 3 young kids going to school....also I wouldn't want to play games in front of the empty Heat arena...worst homecrowd there is.
For all we know it will be illegal for black people to live and work in Florida by the start of the season, the way things are headed there.....

Darn those African slaves for their divisiveness that caused the Civil War and then 150-plus years of the sons of the Confederacy wanting to win the peace.
Nobody is erasing the history of slavery.

since Cronin and Schmitz took over, they think they're some type of Draft Gods. They spread lie after lie after lie. Used a sales pitch strategy to make fans believe losing on purpose would instantly bring winning basketball back to Portland.

Cronin casually skipped the common knowledge part, it takes NBA teams 5-6 years to rebuild through the draft, if they can ever even get it to work.

Cronin & Schmitz wanted this. They wanted a losing team and lots of lottery balls. They wanted a clean slate. They were sick of Lillard being grumpy. Dame throwing hints at the press that Cronin sucks, was poking holes the PR web the Blazers had spun describing the Blazers being a few pieces away from contending.

The owner doesn't give a rats ass in all of this. Jody is too busy cashing Blazer checks and purchasing rare penguin skulls on Ebay.

I completely understand that a full Blazers rebuild was eventually going to happen. I am slightly perturbed the Blazers front office wasted a full year of Lillard's prime with an over the top fake narrative just to sell tickets. Portland acted like they were better then the other bad teams, because they were "building a contender with Lillard."

The snooty pretending to be good Blazers team is finally over. Now Portland can suck for years, draft great rookies, and hopefully sell this team to a new owner that can remove the Ponzi scheme managers and fake head coach.

I'm done, but you guys need to be evenhanded about Politics. BAN IT ALL to OT. I've begged for that for years.

Of course Dame would like Miami for financial reasons. Over the next 4 years he's due 216M and Florida has no state income tax, and that's just his salary, not endorsement deals. NY's top income tax rate is 10.9% which is actually higher than Oregon's

That's pretty "edited".

BTW, is that last line allowed on this board? That seems like the type of thing that would get you in a lot of trouble in person or in any kind of public setting. Your use of it, though, tells me a lot more about you.

If Dame wants Miami and Miami wants Dame, then they better work their ass off to find a 3rd team in the deal. Miami’s assets are straight garbage. If they can’t, trade him to the Nets.
Chris Haynes was the 1st to break the story this morning and said his preferred destinations were Miami AND Brooklyn. Assuming Dame or his agent tipped him off, Miami is going to have to beat Brooklyn's (better) offer.
