If I have invested in a 450 million dollar asset I'm not trading it for a honda civic and a spare tire. Get value for value. Another aspect of this is the salary dump and minutes Portland gets when Dame is nightclubbing with Connor McGregor in South Beach.

I was arguing with someone with this exact point but instead of cars, I used a couple bags of chips and a bottle of water. Person replies back to me saying that we basically surrounded Dame with a couple bags of chips and a bottle of water during his tenure. I guess he's trying to justify that the Blazers just need to trade him to the Heat just to appease Dame. Whatever....

Accepting a "low-ball" offer would have little to no effect on a team sale. That said, accepting any terrible offer could, or probably would, damage revenue streams, i.e., ticket, merchandise and advertising sales for day to day operations. So the Blazers still have an obligation to say, "Sorry, we have a fiduciary responsibility not to accept your offer"

it might be fake, but I have to say I'd bet the Nets value Claxton a lot more than they value Herro. Portland sure a shit does. I don't think the Blazers have a prayer of getting Claxton unless it's just a 2 team trade of Dame to Brooklyn; and my impression is that Brooklyn doesn't have a lot of interest in trading for Dame. Maybe they have been expert at hiding that interest though

It might say that Riley won't give us Jaquez in the deal and instead will give the Nets enough to where they'll send us these guys. I don't really know what grade Schmitz has on any of these guys. A bunch of us like Jaquez but maybe our front office doesn't.
