Not sure if this has been brought up:

Dame is pissed blazers are gunshy to sell the farm for him.

Meanwhile here's Miami trying very hard to get him for peanuts. If Riley truly believe Dame can win them the title, what's stopping them from (not even selling the farm, ie overpaying) giving us equal value for him?

If you are Dame, you gotta be thinking, I guess they (Heat) don't value me enough to give up real assets for me.

"You wanna be with me?"

"I wanna be with you too."

"Then show me how much do you love me."

"Uhm. ."

I am expecting a "poor return" and hoping for better, but my gut feel is most are not going to be satisfied with the return, we'll see

Honestly, my thing is the picks. If we get the right picks I'm happy. One good player in a position of need is great, but those picks are what make or break it, imo.

At this rate, if i'm Joe and sit down with Dame and his agent "Nothing personal guys, just business. If we can't get what we want here, you're suiting up for the Blazers next year and we will look again at the trade deadline"

What are we losing in that scenario? Herro and a 2030 draft pick? Who GAF?

I find it exceedingly unlikely that Lillard has that thought process going on in his head.

Yes. Portland must be willing to bring him back or else they have no leverage.

In fact, we know they have almost all the leverage. They just need to be willing to let things get uncomfortable and I'm not sure they have the stones for that.

Agreed. But so far so good. I feel if there's not a shitty trade announced tomorrow we are in business.

Just want good unprotected draft picks.

I think Dame in the back (or front or side whatever) of his mind thinks about what Miami is willing to give up for him. It's hard to be as good as he is and not have some pride.

Have you ever made a product and show your friends and ask them what they think about it. Most would sing your praises, as your friend.

"Wow this is amazing!"

But their honest review is realeved by

"I'm selling this for $$, would you buy it?"

Since these types of podcasts rarely have things right, I'm going to assume that if the Bulls are active in the multi-team Dame trade talks that LaVine would not be a target of ours. If he happens to be headed here... :smiley-puke:

Miami trying to get Dame and LaVine?

He is just reporting what the current state is, and it looks like the state hasn't changed. Sounds like Miami is offering their two 1sts + the 1st for Herro and thats it. Maybe not even Jovic.

So we don't take back any salary? I am guessing that is unlikely.

Total garbage. If Joe lets Miami off the hook and only takes their shitty picks and filler like Lowry, I'm going to be firmly on the "fire Joe" bandwagon.
