I just looked back. Nate posted an article talking about the things we have been hearing and was attacked.

It has been made clear Boston and Brooklyn among others don't want to deal for Dame because his agent called other teams and told him he wouldn't play for them. This is not propaganda. His agent said these things which have been reported by several sources.

Let's chill on attacking posters when they share articles and such. If you don't agree with what is said fine. Speak to that. Let's stop attacking each other.

There's only one person doing that really. You'd think that someone who complains so much about people here maybe wouldn't be here for a decade.
He's the worst with it, but unfortunately he's not the only one. There's been multiple times where I've shared an opinion and had people say stuff like "This is why I unsubscribed from your YouTube"... It's been happening for a while.

If someone hates my opinion, they should tell me how much they hate it and why. I can handle it, debates are good, because I get to hear how the other side feels about things and it can help me better my dialogue or find where my opinions might have holes I didn't see and then I can reevaluate or find more reasoning behind it. But making it about me and my channel instead of the topic is lame.

This place hasn't changed the last six months.

I think people in general just have become more angry and less empathetic towards anyone else since covid started. I've seen people at dr offices going ballistic at the receptionists for such small things.

Changed? It’s been this way for years now. Twitter is less toxic.
I say this a lot but I honestly miss when it was everyone Vs. Mixum. That was at least entertaining.

You can respond to article all you want. I couldn't care less. I shared another source of information. I didn't say if I believed it or not.

Don't try to put some kind of bizarre spin on what you think I meant by posting it.

Clearly you care, because you felt attacked when I responded and felt the need to be rude.
Once again….. this drama brought to you because I posted some actual basketball Intel and two people decided to make it about me.

You're the only I see attacking people's intelligence. If you can't handle someone responding to your post, maybe you shouldn't post or ask people not to respond.

I think many folks would benefit from the ignore feature. It's there for a reason. Making sure one is exposed to all opinions is fine, but there are those....I call them the 5%'ers. They go so far overboard in today's "no consequences" social media platforms, that it raises debates to battles, opinions to shouting matches.

Me? I am here for one main reason. I am here to talk and share with other Blazer fans our excitement about the past, current, and upcoming seasons and players. That's it. I have zero need to be "real", or whatever the fuck that is in relation to sports. Both my sisters passed in the last two years. My wife lost her brother last week in a biking accident on the coast. Such is life, and we all face it at times. I come here for happy. I love following my team, as long as they are a respectful and admirable group of folks. That is why I came back to being a fan after the Jailblazer era. These current players are all good people. Big deal to me.

The ignore feature allows a fan to blank out those folks who make their blood boil, or that they are somehow or another offended by on a regular basis. It works. I have currently 20. It grew by 8 in these last few weeks. I find it quite cathartic to hear those that speak what I hope to hear. A little bit of fun and fantasy works well for me. I got plenty of "real life" to keep me in line.

Well said, I just recently started using this and my experience has been better.

It's just weird. Like 90% of the board now is on the same page rooting for Scoot and Shaedon and ready to move on. Last year it was maybe 70/30 where the majority thought we were gonna build a contender around Dame.

Now people just want to argue about anything and everything. Not to say they didn't before, i've done my fair share. Just feels like this should be something that brings most of us together like the old days. Maybe that happens when Dame is finally traded except a couple outlier fans.

Years ago, on the Miami Herald Dolphins board, we started a fight thread. That was a thread specifically for people to hold their own little Festivus and air their grievances. What happens in Fight Thread stays in Fight Thread, and nobody talks about Fight Thread.

After reading this afternoon's posts in this thread, I think this forum needs a fight thread.

Listen dude, if you want to attack my opinions that's fine. Have at it.

I just see zero logic in writing out a long post to me about a link that I posted. I offered zero opinions or thoughts with that link. All I did was paste the link and several lines from the article. I had no agenda at all with that link. Just trying to give people any and all news that I'm finding during the day.

You're the one in the wrong here. I'm done arguing over it.

Mt. Tabor royal rumble! You’re all a bunch of no good ninnies! All of your mothers gave birth to a bunch of cry babies!!! Fur is murder!!! Fight fight fight!

I imagine everyone is pretty raw emotionally about this. We care a lot about the team, but that includes the players on that team, and Dame was kind of the team's everything for a decade. He's probably going to keep the point total record as a Blazer for 30 years, maybe forever if the team is sold and moved and turned into some other team with carpetbagger intentions. And Dame leaving might cause some folks to worry that this is it for basketball in Portland. I don't think it is, but I definitely understand the fear.

We're older now than when we drafted Dame. Some of us aren't here anymore. When there's this many emotions associated with Dame's era, seeing it end (whether you wanted it to or not) is going to be incredibly emotional. We are going to take it out on each other. Not saying it's right, but it's the furthest thing from surprising.

It's a breakup, and even if a breakup is amicable (and this one is not), there's still going to be some sore feelings and probably some crying if we're being honest with ourselves. And given that this feels like a pretty messy breakup, all that will be heightened.

Dame needs a serious brake from Social Media, it's sad at this point

He's never been alone in this way. It's literally him and his agent. He has no institutional backing from the team anymore. They won't run interference if he runs his mouth a little. He's under 100x more scrutiny than he ever was as a Blazer, and the media isn't looking to fluff him up or woo him. They're looking for the drama and they don't care if they hurt him to get it. He's savvy but I don't think he's been in this situation social media-wise before.

I don't have much sympathy for him, but it is interesting to watch.
