Same. Simmons prove he can’t be the #1 option. Great defender, just not someone worth building around and getting headaches from.
Dame for Wiseman, Wiggins, #7, #14 would be fun
Dame for #1, Grant, and Cory Joseph
Dame for #2, Wood, and Gordon.
I could get on board with Wiseman, Wiggins, #7, #14, and two future picks for Dame and Nurkic if that meant you could turn #7 + future GSW pick + Covington into Jalen Suggs and Chris Boucher. If Norman goes to Miami, good chance we could get Herro or a pick in a sign-and-trade. See if Phili can will be down for Simmons for CJ + a lotto-protected 1st + a GSW 1st.
A team of
Suggs/Simons/Wiggins/Simmons/Boucher + Nas/Herro/Wiseman/#14 will probably be inexperienced enough to get a high pick next year. But Wiggins would essentially be here for one full year with a high possibly of being bought out in 2022-23.
With a roster like this, it won’t be a good season, but it’ll certainly be an interesting season. We’ll get to find out if
1) Simmons can dominate while not being the primary ball handler
2) Simons is a starting SG
3) Nas can end the season as starting SF
High on Suggs/Simons/Nas, lowest on Herro who isn’t a terrible player and is still young. I think this could turn into a possible quick rebuild. A part of me also just says lets rip off the bandaid already and start over.
On a sidenote, I like Dame for #2/Wood/Gordon too. Although I don’t know the likelihood of that happening. The HOU situation looks bleak, not sure if Dame would have enough to win there.
