He'd be a good backup for Nurk. You can't play Jordan in the 4th quarter because of his FT shooting. So, play him most of his minutes in the first three quarters to keep Nurk fresh and out of foul trouble.

It will never happen. The Clipps will get better offers for teams desperate for defense and rebounding.

Neil isn't even going to consider trading CJ. And in this were just shuffling our poor defender from SG to PF. Need to try to add to what we got, not shuffle it.
 
I'm just not impressed with DJ. I don't think he makes us that much better than Nurk, and he's significantly older. Jordan is what he is. He's not going to drastically improve. I think Nurk still has a ways to go and could be a very good player one day.
 
It wouldn't be horrible to have Jordan on the team. It depends on the cost.

Depends on the cost. That includes salary ramifications.

I'd certainly rather see him on the floor than Leonard.
 
If the Blazers are going to trade for a new center it better be Hassan Whiteside
 
I would add Jordan if Nurk was going out in another trade.

So if we were doing some type of blockbuster which included Nurk, then I could see bringing in DJ.

Man we don't Need Deandre. In todays NBA he is useless. He cant shot and in close games we have to take him out because he still cant shot free trows. And btw he is expiring, you really want to give up Assets for 3 Months Deandre Jordan?

If Nurk was part of a major trade, and I'm talking a MAJOR trade, then yes... I would take DJ.

And the kind of trade that I'm talking is Nurk/CJ for someone like Kawhi Leonard or Anthony Davis or another major superstar player. Not saying those teams would accept that offer, but that's the kind of player that would command Nurk/CJ.

If we traded out Nurk/CJ/??? for someone like Kawhi or AD, I could see us making a deal for Jordan/Lou Williams.

Technically, he's not expiring. He has a $24 million player option for next season. Given his age and the declining market for centers, he may not opt out.

Which begs the question, which is worse, losing him after a 3 month rental, or keeping him another year for $24 million?

If Neil trades for Jordan I won’t watch another game until he’s fired. I still have some hope he’s not that stupid.

IMO, if he trades for Jordan it will be more about salary cap than roster building.
