Maybe we can hoax Boston into giving us a first for the Irish Spring himself, Mr. Patrick Connaughton. He'd make an excellent mascot and hometown favorite for Boston.

You want to take GP II with a first round pick?
Why? I don't see him getting a second contract in the NBA.
If he's the guy we want, does it really matter if we move up to the first to get him? Lowest cost of acquisition is all that matters.

If we get into mid-late first round territory, there are far better prospects that I would hope he target. Cost of acquisition is one thing. Opportunity cost (of missing out on a better player) is far more important in my mind.
I wasn't talking mid-late. I'm talking solely late, end of first round. And I didn't say GPII wasn't the only guy I wanted. I said there were a few people, only named GPII.
Denzel Valentine and Taurean Prince are two other guys I could see us targeting.Juan Henangomez is my guy if we are in mid-late first. Aminu size and athleticism, better offensive skills. People have talked about his much improved shot recently.
Maybe more so they can afford to bring he, Westbrook and a 3rd star in?Is that a signal that Durant is bailing?
The one guy in the draft i havent really dug into yet...going to check out some film soon.Juan Henangomez is my guy if we are in mid-late first. Aminu size and athleticism, better offensive skills. People have talked about his much improved shot recently.
Makes sense, they are gonna need to lock up Adams soon, and they have Mitch McGary waiting for PT.
I'd hope Neil would give them a call but they're probably not to happy with him bumping the price on Kanter last summer.
It's unclear exactly what OKC wants in return for Ibaka, but this report does make sense, as Ibaka's numbers have seen a steady decline over the past few years. Ibaka is still an elite rim protector, but drifting away from the hoop has aversely affected his production.
Not sure I get the need to mock?"No Colonel Sanders, you're wrong!! There's more than 30 guys better than GP2. He's not worth any first round pick in any year ever!!"

You may be right, OKC could've offered 5 years correct? We did them a favor with Kanter. He was going to get a max. Signing the offer last year with us, I believe, in the end, saved OKC money long-term.

No "need" to mock; I'm just having fun. No offense intended. Not sure I get the need to mock?
DX has GP II at 52, and nbadraft.net has him at 44. I'm not alone in thinking that GP in the first round is pretty ludicrous.
I would love to get him. I don't think we have the pieces to get it done though. Doesn't say what they want in general (studs, picks, combination of both?) but I would think CJ and a crappy late 1st from us.
If it was 2 years ago sure. Ibaka has lost a step though and is now getting up there.

Younger than I thought for sure. Still think they can only ask for CJ with their huge hole at SG.I don't deny that he has regressed a little bit but Ibaka is still only 26 years old..
Yeah, i'm not buying it. Inside the link, "trade talks aren’t currently ongoing in Milwaukee...any pending deals (are) “possible, but not likely.”"
