Blazers will never get baby Sabonis, please give up on that. Imagine the extra pressure the kid would feel playing for Portland. It's not happening

Gary Payton 2 tho? Sure

Teams leaking out that Thon Maker is not 19 now.

Just beware of these last minute rumors from unsubstantiated sources. Reeks of something the Spurs would do to deter teams from drafting him so he lands down to them.

Thon Maker isn't really 19? I'm shocked!

Lol that's a silly reason for them not to get Sabonis. Now I could see the argument that they don't have a pick or can't get a pick that high but to not draft because of pressure is silly. No offense

I think I just screwed up embedding it:

Hearing that we shouldn't be surprised if high second-round picks in tonight's NBA Draft fetch the full $3 million in trades tonight

As I suspected, picks are going to be like gold to teams chasing cap room this summer . . . high second rounders in particular.

We still have our full 3 million right? I dont remember sending cash in the varejao, batum, plumlee or harkless deals.

Isn't this "he's really 35!!!" what they say about EVERY SINGLE African player?

And Korean softball player, of course.
Seriously.

And the source that is leaking this 21-23 bullshit is from Perth? Come on now. How do they get away with this shit?

Similar to Sullinger falling because of so called back issues that suddenly appeared on draft day, or DeJuan Blair no ACL or something (how the hell does a guy play in the NBA for years without an ACL?), etc etc etc.

It's bullshit. Stupidity abound.

I bet we get one pick (and only one pick). I bet it is easier overall for teams to get a mid to late first than and early 2nd as well. Players drafted in first round come with automatic cap charge. Those in the 2nd don't.

Thats what i think too. Hoping for a mid 2nd to take gp2 with.

True. But oden was 40.

The age-40 rule only applies to those born in Africa. Kinda like how the age-40 rule applies to those Latin-born baseball players, but not those born in the US.

Foreigners are tougher than Americans.

Except French and Spaniards.

Hmmmmm. Any idea where we sent cash and for how much?

No, but there's this:
http://espn.go.com/nba/team/transactions/_/name/por/portland-trail-blazers
February 19, 2016 Acquiring G Brian Roberts and a future second-round pick from Miami for cash considerations. Waived G Tim Frazier.

I don't think the exact $$ amount was ever reported.
I don't know if it's still 3 mil, or if you get 3.5 mil now.
I don't know when the magic ending date/renewal date for this is, or even if there is one.

I don't know much, but we probably don't have the full amount, however much that is!

edit: ooops, late to the party.
