Headed to Tucson this weekend to see my oldest daughter. Ducks just happen to be playing the wildcats this weekend. I think our tickets are around the 40 yard line. First ncaa football game I will have ever gone to. Should be fun, although we are all under strict orders not to wear anything Oregon.

For some reason I don’t remember his brother Gary as a Duck. I remember the name, but can’t remember the player.

Gary wasn't a full time starter, but he was a key cog in the DL rotation for a few seasons. IIrc, he wasn't a big time recruit as he moved/transferred between HSs a few times but came on strong his Senior year and garnered a bunch of late offers.

Ducks land two verbals today... woot woot! Both were sort of expected though great to see none the less. Class of 2023 4* monster OG Iapani Laloulu of Hawaii is the younger brother of current Duck OLineman Ope Laloulu. The second commit is class of 2024 4* TE AJ Pugliano of Medford Oregon who has been a lifelong Duck fan. Rumors are bubbling that there are more about to drop.

The Utah game on the other hand…

I’m hearing the theory that the committee doesn’t want Oregon, because if they made it, it would likely be as the 4 seed and have to play Georgia. They want nothing to do with a rematch of that drubbing.

Even though I think the Ducks have improved significantly since then. Just relaying what I heard Joel Klatt say

Yes, it is ridiculous. Granted that the odds of the Ducks winning out in their last 4 games against 4 good opponents are not very good. However, if they manage to do so and they jumped up into the top 4, they could just as easily jump to the top 3 and avoid GA if GA wins out. Either way, anyone who takes into account the score of the Oregon-GA loss in the first week of the season is not very smart or has an agenda. Oregon would not be #6 if the final score was a factor. We need an expanded PO format so the league champions are all included. This will also allow for better non-conference scheduling.
