Ant should certainly be traded for a good pick or a young prospect at another position or both. No need keeping him at all.my takeout
our nobody players played better than our known players in most cases.
players i had fairly high hopes for were either injured or struggled.
players i knew and still know nothing about seem to have taken the opportunity and ran with it.
we're still weak and unproven, but there is also some potential gems in the mix that we didnt expect.
if we keep middling, i dont see any point in keeping ant etc, just move for picks and properly embrace the rebuild.
i think keeping a guy like brogdon is a good plan, he seems like a good leader and older voice for the guys.
having the 16th highest salary this season, n netting out like this is woeful.
ayton - 32m
grant 27m
ant 24m
our top 3 paid players lineup and inconsistent time on court as well.
I'm glad we got to discover some other potential up n comers, but we need to shed the albatrosses around our neck.
i watched approx 2 games overall. lots of highlight packages, but there werent many highlights in them.
im also even less sure that billups is the guy for this team.
Yeah, Mo cheeks is the vibe I get.Or a less musical Mo Cheeks.
I don't usually disagree with you, but your point is ludicrous. By that logic, every potential draftee is "lottery talent".
I said improved as a group. That's different than developing individual skills.
I also saw some nice chemistry/improvement develop with Scoot and Ayton late in the year, there were so may injuries (real or managed) and key guys like Shae injured that it was hard for any group cohesion to develop. I am not defending Billups, I have serious doubts about him, but he does not deserve all the blameoookay…
you didn't see scoot slow down and improve his dribble drive, you didn't see him improve his three point shot?
also a group improving, means cohesion. I put that on the coach getting the group in line/on the same page.
i just think you are way off base on your assessment and dismissing glaringly clear things myself and others have pointed out.
Group vs individual improvement? If anything, individual improvement can be had by a player working hard off the court and have nothing to do with coaching, but improving a group is all about the coach.
I saw clear improvement as a group. Defensively mostly but also offensively. Scoot and Ayton started clicking offensively. Spacing improve significantly on both sides of the court.
I don't even understand how you can say what you just said.

Why do you keep arguing individual improvement when I said improved as a group?oookay…

You think I'm way off base but have no idea what I'm talking about, but I don't care to explain because you seem to think Chauncey is perfect.
…I saw clear improvement as a group. Defensively mostly but also offensively. Scoot and Ayton started clicking offensively. Spacing improve significantly on both sides of the court...

Don't care to explain because I know how this goes with you. You already threatened me with your "respect" for my opinion, like I care...hyperbole? I never said hes perfect. I even said i have no clue yet if he will actually be a good coach. Furthermore i addressed the group thing with specific details regarding group play. You have dismissed all of the details i have presented…
Reading only what you want to read here??
Don't care to explain because you seem to think that i think he is perfect?
sorry man, that post is something like how a child would respond/ debate.
completely dismiss the group portion i addressed and claim i only brought up individual play, which is blatantly false.
“Im not explaining to you because you seem to think he is perfect….”
Really???
Do i get an award for winning this debate? Lol.
Don't care to explain because I know how this goes with you. You already threatened me with your "respect" for my opinion, like I care...
Their team defense has regressed. They don't seem to communicate well on that end. They looked all out of sorts defensively. There are tons of examples of the on-ball defender icing a Pick-n-roll while the big is dropping middle. And this is about guys that played all year, not Ashton Hagans or Moses Brown...
They haven't gotten better at playing off each other except for Scoot feeding Ayton on Pick n Rolls. Outside of those two, nobody looks any more cohesive than they did at the start of the year. The offense was extremely stagnant, with the lowest percentage of their made FGs being assisted in the entire league. They don't play off each other at all offensively, it didn't improved, and that's backed up statistically.
"Lighten up" is rich coming from you, considering you're making a basketball debate fell personal. I state my opinion, you state yours. I wouldn't be debating you if my opinion is the "only one". But what do you think a debate it? Two people who think their opinions are the right ones. So lighten up.who has played all season to be able to judge as you are?
Do you recall the starting lineup compared to what we started the last month?
Completely different.
Threatened???????
Bro are you really gonna get pissy over me telling you my respect for your opinion is taking a hit when you talk to people around here on the reg like your opinion is the only valid one?
Are you really gonna get pissy over one statement when i have supported you over the duration of your growth in basketball analytics and commentating?
Sigh….I have stood up for you more than you will ever know about, but if you cant handle a bit of criticism, you are in the wrong business and maybe im helping to finance a no win situation. maybe i should look out/check myself to who i financially support…geez man.
Lighten up.

The losing "respect" and the "childish" comments are why I didn't want to continue arguing with you, since you seem to feel so strongly about Chauncey Billups. This isn't the only conversation... Go ahead and tell me what "business" I should be in, too. Don't support me if that's what it is.
Okay __, whatever you say.Okay T. Whatever you say….
Why do you keep arguing individual improvement when I said improved as a group?
You think I'm way off base but have no idea what I'm talking about, but I don't care to explain because you seem to think Chauncey is perfect.
Okay __, whatever you say.
Is that what upset you? This above is not a debating statement
Do you disagree that analysts should have thick skin?"Lighten up" is rich coming from you, considering you're making a basketball debate fell personal. I state my opinion, you state yours. You kept arguing individual skill things when I was talking about improvement as a group. So you clearly didn't understand what I was saying.
You think I'm "way off base" and "glaringly dismissive of clear things you and others have pointed out" regarding Chauncey, and I think you're acting like Chauncey is perfect. I respond in kind. What about of that isn't debate? What part of that is akin to bringing up what business you or I work in or "respect"?
I disagree that you should tell me what it takes to do what I've already done.Do you disagree that analysts should have thick skin?
do you disagree that someone can have a high level of respect for another's work ethic but lose a bit of respect based on the opinions being put out in that work ethic?
Do you disagree that you often make statements as facts instead of making it clear its your opinion?
Do you disagree that not responding with details and telling another you wont respond because they think someone is perfect, right after they said they have no clue how good of a coach he will turn out to be, is a childish way to post?
You didnt debate me. You got offended due to me stating my respect of your basketball analysis is taking a hit. Instead of countering with some substance to back up your opinion, you responded with… “you seem to think he is perfect, so I'm not gonna respond.”
You don't see how that comes off as a childish post?
You really want to argue our private conversations to further derail this thread? Only reason I messaged you is because it's lame to call out my "business" when you're on a burner.Nothing has upset me. But dont threaten me in DM’s. Period. You are simply proving my point..
I disagree that you should tell me what it takes to do what I've already done.
I think it's ridiculous to start bringing up "respect" in a basketball debate. But if you start throwing around the "childish" and my job, you're making it personal. Do you think "you seem to think Chauncey is perfect" is personal?
Funny, your message didnt say anything about questioning your business….instead it was a threat. You really want to argue our private conversations to further derail this thread? Only reason I messaged you is because it's lame to call out my "business" when you're on a burner.
I'm done with this.
If that's widely known then that's not a threat now is it? Don't start making things sound personal on a burner, that's lame and unfair.Funny, your message didnt say anything about questioning your business….instead it was a threat.
Most everyone knows Im OB, so your threats don't hold weight with me.. but they do continue to prove my childish statement….
Any more threats you wanna toss out there?
I wasn't really upset with what you were saying, I was disappointed that it was you, because we've been cool. I feel like the only reason you brought up "losing respect" for my opinions is because I share them on a platform. And then you immediately brought up maybe I shouldn't have one. I get it, it comes with the "territory", but I don't expect it from people I'm cool with...not personal. Just a childish post. I apologize for trying to be a straight shooter with you regarding my opinion, which has mostly been very high, of your analysis. I had no idea it would upset you so to let you know your opinion of Billups is questioning how high of regard i should put into your opinion regarding him. Maybe respect was a poor choice of words, as you are clearly offended by it, instead of trying to regain that level of respect i reference, with substance.
You twisted my words claiming i didn't say things i did. Im not offended, but i will call ya on it. Im sorry if that upsets you.
If that's widely known then that's not a threat now is it? Don't start making things sound personal on a burner, that's lame and unfair.
Yeah, because if you're gonna make things personal publically, then I don't think you should hide behind a burner while doing so. Especially when you start talking about my "business"!My Lord man.
You told me i should be careful who i talk down to. You never mentioned that as getting outed as Ob until later.
Please listen to yourself….

Yes, you telling me my opinions are "childish" is such straight shooter stuff! Tell me what I should do with my life, please! Then we differ. I expect false flattery from those i dont know. I expect those im close with to be a straight shooter.
I want my friends to tell me I'm off base if they think i am. I respect that much more than superficial fluff.
