Backup PG is the next obvious addition. Quite a few guys available in FA probably for the minimum, especially good defenders. There would be tax implications obviously and minimum deals would effectively double on the books, but this is an addition I think we HAVE to make. No more of this CJ/Ant parading around as backup PGs.

And we are required to fill at least one roster spot as is.

I like (in order):

- Dante Exum
- Avery Bradley
- Ntilikina
- Mike James
- Dennis Smith Jr.
- Jeff Teague

Bradley is a tough sell as a true PG, but I think he could be a useful vet presence and pinch defender for spot minutes. I really like Exum's potential still after seeing him in the Olympics. Mike James is a local guy who actually played playoff minutes in Kyrie's absence. Hard to believe he's 31, but he's an aggressive defender.

I really like this potential bench unit:

Exum/Simons/Little/Nance/Zeller

...I think a Rondo buyout would be good option as well

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Kevin Love are making progress toward a buyout. Love has two seasons and $60 million remaining on his contract extension signed shortly after the departure of LeBron James in 2018.

The buyout is not close to a done deal and talks could still fall apart, according to a source.

Love has been hampered by injuries, a general decline in his performance, and intermittent attitude issues since signing his extension.

The Cavaliers acquired Lauri Markkanen in a sign-and-trade with the Chicago Bulls and Portland Trail Blazers on Friday, which will further limit any available minute for Love.

I don’t see the fit with Portland tbh. Love is essentially just a center at this stage in his career and we’re pretty set there with Nurk, Nance, and zeller.
Agreed. I mean, I'd probably still take him because I'm fairly certain we aren't getting that true backup PG everybody wants, and with the injury history of Nurk, Zeller and Nance, an extra body there can't hurt. But I'd still prefer another 3/4 type instead.

Probably would be us, lakers, golden state in the running for love.
You really think K.Love wants to live in Lake Oswego again?

Like he’s out here dreaming about Giant Burger.

How do you think he will feel to find out Fudruckers is now a Zoom Clinic?

I bet he’d regret it the second he saw the construction they are doing on Boones Ferry.

On the other hand Downtown LO has some good food….
And the Lakewood cinema has somehow survived.

Yes. He is close to CJ and has said he would want to play for us someday.

problem is I don’t think any of those guys would be upgrades as pure point guards. Frank and Bradley aren’t great creators. Neither is Exum. Teague is probably the closest but I haven’t watched him play lately.

How the fuck do the Lakers have any room for anyone else? The Cap is total BS.
Minimum deals bruh. We could theoretically offer him 2 million or so more but if he wants to take less money to play for a team that is going to be a bigger threat to win the title, not much you can do.

Wow nice addition of Rondo if the Lakers can pull it off. He would be great here in PDX.
