Hey @illmatic99--put your stalking skills to good use and get in contact with Zeller's agent and get us some answers!!
not today, homie. too much pending work i put off. and LOL what can i do? Quick and Fentress need to be on this but they don't give a damn, and there's no scandal so no one from B-Edge will care.

Lakers now with Westbrook

Ariza
Ellington
Superman
Bazemore
Carmelo
Monk

They've only filled 12 spots though, right? No reason they can't do both.

Olshey usually brings 14 into training camp. So realistically I see two spots. Hopefully one is for a TPMLE, the other is up for grabs between a summer leaguer.

I sure wish somebody...anybody...would find out if Zeller signed for the MLE. All these local reporters and bloggers and NBA wannabe's and not one of them can find out what he signed for

Vet min is what I've heard confirmed.

I think Monk might start for them.

Monk/Ellington/Dwight/Baze/Melo/Ariza is a ridiculous FA class when armed with the exact same tools that we had.

We ended up with Zeller and McLemore.

Come on.

why sign a wing when we will soon have a rotation of Simmons, RoCo, Little and a young and hungry Brown?

that was one rumor...the other rumor was for 5 million

Fentress said vet min. Hollinger said vet min. Quick said vet min but he was quoting ESPN which didn't really say. Zach Harper said 5 million.

Who knows.

assuming Zeller signed for the minimum....

which free agent wings are left that could be signed for the tax-MLE?

Oubre? any others?

Have fun in LA Melo --- trying to get the ball out of Westbricks hand will take an act of god so again have fun

But being serious -- Before he came to Portland - I Hated MELO but the last 2 yrs I have come to like Melo (within reason ) and a part of me would Love if he got a ring BUT not with the Lakers so I hope nothing but bad on ALL the players in Purple in Gold cept you Melo. --

So in the one season where we NEED to make a deep run, you want to hitch our wagon to a player who will be returning from a pretty major surgery halfway through the year? All the while we are trading what has been our second best player for multiple years and hoping we can tread water until he gets back?

Trust me, I like Siakam and like the move during a healthy season, but if THIS season is truly as important to Dame as it's being made out to be I would not be making my big bet on a player who is returning from this type of injury. Especailly the way Pascal plays, I just don't trust it not getting re-aggravated this year.

My post was more because I have not even seen it being brought up in any of these discussions people have had.
We are probably discussing this in the wrong thread but hey. You are right; any guy with a serious injury is a risk. It seems a lot of times something else goes wrong and the recovery time gets extended. Unfortunately we are not in a very good place. The one year in which (maybe) Olshey decides to trade CJ and assets for an up[grade, well, there are not many choices available. Siakam and Simmons seems to be it. A guy who choked on free throws in the playoffs and can't shoot outside of 5 feet and a guy with a serious shoulder injury. We didn't have to be in this place but here we are. Since we are neither doctors nor sports psychologists, I'm not sure what we can discuss. We know whichever we choose it's a big risk, but it seems more palatable then the risk of sticking with what hasn't worked for 8 or 9 years.

Does there need to be any others? Oubre is worth more than the tax MLE so if he takes it then the team getting him needs to buy a lotto ticket. He could still be sign and traded instead.

But to answer. DeRozan (another sign and trade posibility), Danny Green (worth Tax MLE?) and the rest of good ones are Restricted Free Agents.

Melo just spent 2 seasons playing with CJ. CJ's career assist rate is 17.5%; Westbrook's career assist rate is 42.7%. About 250% higher. Westbrook's career usage rate is higher than CJ's, but only about 22% higher

Talk on twitter is that even Monk was for the minimum and LA still has their TP MLE.

wtf

What is the hold up on our TPMLE? Have to imagine Millsap is the target here, but if he hasn't committed yet that means he's still waiting on a TPMLE from some other team.

So even after courting Millsap for 12 years, and at age 36, we're still not an option. That's sad.

There are A LOT of good players left and not a lot of money out there. But most of the good players are all point guards:

Nunn
Jackson
Schroeder

sigh

massive deal for DeRozan though. 3 yrs, 85.

I dig that Bulls roster this year.

Also, that's a HUGE deal for Derozan. ~28 a year? Yikes. And had to give up a 1st to do it as well.

Expensive roster.

Ball- 20 mil
Lavine - 20 mil but crying about being underpaid in public.
DeRozan - 28 mil
Williams - 10 mil rookie
Vucevic - 25 mil

No way they retain Markkanen.

kendrick nunn is available

although i dont know how much he wants

This off season is getting worse by the minute.
All these teams being creative.
We signed Cody zeller and Ben mcelmore

this really can’t look good from dames perspective
