Rather send CJ to WAS, tbh, and get one of those youngsters here instead of give up RoCo
Edit: unless of course you're still entertaining the CJ-for-Siakam swap too...

Dame-CJ-Powell-Green-Nurk is an insane lineup though.Rather send CJ to WAS, tbh, and get one of those youngsters here instead of give up RoCo
lol Morey, foh
Send CJ to somewhere for more picks to send Washington's way. Keep Roco at the 3. Would be much better for us. And possibly for Washington if they want to total rebuild.Rather send CJ to WAS, tbh, and get one of those youngsters here instead of give up RoCo
dame is not that shallow. this prolly turns him off Philly more than anything.Yeah, it's kind of causing me a meltdown... I'm probably over it by now but I don't think Beckner takes that job without Dame giving his OK. So it's a little disconcerting.
Insane as in it defies sanity to start such a short group of guys 1-4?Dame-CJ-Powell-Green-Nurk is an insane lineup though.
Are you really trying to say Green is too short to play PF?Insane as in it defies sanity to start such a short group of guys 1-4?
I don't think Beckner does it if it "turns him off" those guys are tighter than Dame is with anyone else in his career. That was his assistant coach in college who left when Dame did to get Dame better and it has worked. Dame getting better has given Beckner opportunities to train other guys too but Dame is his main client.dame is not that shallow. this prolly turns him off Philly more than anything.
Nope... just saying that I don't like any complements of a lineup with those three 6'3"ish guards starting together and it just rubs it in that Dray is an inch shorter than RoCo. Dray would be a great get... he would make us better in a lot of respects. I don't like his poor shooting numbers but other than that, he'd help but we'd still get slaughtered because Dame and CJ are bad to terrible defenders and Norm isn't a good defender at the three... he's a good defender when he's matched up with guards but not when he has to defend an average sized forward. Are you really trying to say Green is too short to play PF?
Yeah, personally I think I'd prefer a simplified version where we get Draymond and Moody, and we send CJ to WAS instead of Roco. Then we have Dame-Norm-Roco-Green-Nurk, and we add Moody to our Simons/Little youth movement on the bench.Nope... just saying that I don't like any complements of a lineup with those three 6'3"ish guards starting together and it just rubs it in that Dray is an inch shorter than RoCo. precisely. it's a shamelessly transparent attempt by Morey to woo Dame. And Dame is not that easily swayed. If the hire was made as a way to entice Dame, it would upset him more because he probably does not want his guy Beckner used as a pawn like that.I think @illmatic99's point re: the Beckner thing is,
If THIS is the move that puts Dame over the top in terms of a trade request/seriously considering Philly as a destination, he's not really the guy we thought he was. He's a hell of a lot more complex as a person than this.
Yeah, I would never think this is the move that would put Dame over the top. My worry is that it's a sign that he is already there... that either he's planning on asking for a trade to Philly or him and Olshey have already worked one out. That's a lot of fear talking though. This might not be anything to worry about at all.I think @illmatic99's point re: the Beckner thing is,

I'm also reading on twitter that he has consulted with other teams before. So maybe this was just a reporter being overzealous for engagement. If Beckner was the difference between Damian staying and going, A: why wouldn't the Blazers have hired him and B: why wouldn't Damian have requested they hire him in any time in the previous 9 seasons?

Looks like this confirms Zeller at the minimum. Cool.
Now use the TPMLE.
Wow, I would have been all over this for a second round pick. Got to imagine the Warriors have their TPMLE target ready since all this move does is clear a roster spot.
something to do with Oubre and a potential S&T?Wow, I would have been all over this for a second round pick. Got to imagine the Warriors have their TPMLE target ready since all this move does is clear a roster spot.
Would you guys swap Beal for McCollum?
Yeah, we could have used a big dude like that off the bench at the min.
