If we had traded for Melo over the summer, what do you think our record would be like?

The shot was a total afterthought. He went out of his way to elbow Nurk in the face. It was a dominance move meant to get under our skin, and without Nurk selling the hit like it was Monday Night RAW, it might have worked; the ref originally called a blocking foul.

It felt like something that was brewing. Thunder we're getting frustrated, bitching about calls, and Nurk was locking the paint up.

Yep exactly. We were playing really physical with them and there was that play with Westbrook when he got the rebound and was hand-checked in the Nurk’s by Vonleh and Nurk. I think that fueled the hit on Nurk.

I also need to say that one RIDICULOUS Dame layup/circus shot was officially the most difficult shot I’ve ever seen a basketball player make. That made my jaw drop.

Yeah but we almost fucked up a big point lead again. That's Crazy. Just bring it home without fucking Drama
You realize you said we had no chance right? It's different to say we have a very small chance to win. You basically said we have no chance in hell at winning this game.

You also said you'd be happy if we lost by less than 10... And now after we win, you're complaining???

Shows your colors as a poster!

It was a terrible call and you dumb blazers fans need to realize that...
The Turner foul on Westbrooks 3? Yeah, it was a bad call.

Get your butt back to work on that smelly ass farm you call "downtown Oklahoma City".

To be truthful, Turner did just touch him on the elbow. I didn't see the foul at full speed, but could see it on the replay. That call was ok.

I know, I'm sure I could find another call that was actually questionable that I could go cry about on a Thunder forum.

Look. We needed bad Westbrook Who missed 5 times from the ft line and a questionable ejection for Melo to win that game. That was a little bit lucky. On a Normal game, Westbrook make these free throws and CA will not be ejected. Look i am really Happy that we won, but the reality is that win was a bit luck. yeah maybe i am a bit to pessimistic, but in general the Thunder are the worst matchup for us with the Bucks

No it wasn't he got his elbow, clear as day on the replay. In full speed I was like "what the hell is that call? Then slow motion, I was like "ya, he got him"
Do you read the posts before you post?

Bruh, we played bad! Our bench was trash and we had 20+ turnovers.

No chance means no matter what, even if Westbrook plays bad, Melo gets ejected, etc.

Either way, that foul on Melo should've been flagrant, and he had a technical before, so he would've gotten ejected regardless. Even then, they played better without Melo. I don't think the Thunder are the worst matchup for us. Nurk abuses Adams inside, and Roberson struggles to contain Lillard and McCollum. Lillard always seems to win the Westbrook battle.

Great win tonight! Blazers are so much better of a team when they feed Nurk early... I hope Dame and CJ are starting to realize that. On the Melo foul... how can anyone say that was not a flagrant?! He threw his elbow away from the basket... clearly not a natural basketball move.
Everyone on "Talkin' Ball" was saying it shouldn't have been a flagrant, which was odd to see them take the other team's side.

It looked like a flagrant to me. He was moving his elbows towards Nurk's face, which was in opposite direction of where the hoop was. If Nurk and been directly between Anthony and the rim I don't think it would have been called.

But that was the game right there. They took away Anthony's 3pt play and gave Nurk a FT, 4 point swing.

They teach you to keep your elbows in for a reason.
He put them out hoping to get contact, he did to the face.
Personally I would've called a f1, as I didn't see it as unnecessary & excessive. I just saw it as unnecessary. However those refs made a judgement call and deemed it was an f2. Pretty black and white to me.

Regardless of the call Portland was handling OKC anyway.

Lets be completely clear though, neither a f1 or a f2 have to be intentional according to the rules.

Agreed. His elbows moved past the basket, making a pretty concerted effort to make contact with Nurk, then unnaturally jerked back toward the basket for a layup. He may not have meant to elbow Nurk in the face as much as he was trying to clear he lane or even draw a foul, but he fucked the pooch on it and made the contact.

Yeah, I'm getting tired of all those "I accidently elbowed you in the face or accidently kicked you in the balls" bologna.

Had to go visit a Thunder Thread. The overall opinion is that Nurk is a Dirty player on the level of Draymond and Beverly. That the Blazers big three are on par with OK3 and It's got to be Dames music with stars is really cool.

Just shows you how biased the NBA is, that after reviewing the Draymond kick, they said it was "accidental", but then they went ahead and made a rule against it.

Luck had nothing to do with Westbrook's 4th quarter play. That was vintage Westbrook. He consistently chokes away games in the 4th quarter. Two years ago, Durant's last season in OKC, the Blunder choked away 15 games where they led in the 4th quarter.

Think about that for a second...

You have a 4-time NBA scoring champ in the prime of his career and you cough up 15 4th quarter leads. How is that even possible?

Two words: Russell Westbrook. His resume is full of examples of freezing out his teammates in the 4th quarter of close games (especially Durant, no wonder he left), countless attempts at selfish hero ball, scores of unforced turnovers, stupid fouls and missed FTs.

If you were at all surprised by Westbrook's 4th quarter choke job, you must not have seen many OKC games. Last night was classic Westbrook. Nothing lucky or exceptional about it. It is who he is.
