Remember the last time we played a team the day they fired their coach? I do! Against the Knicks and they beat us by like 40! Coach Nate got fired the next day if I remember correctly!

The Rockettes players will be determined to show the world the problem was not them, it was McHale. Determined and motivated NBA players are generally pretty good.Pff I think we blow them out now, because I for one don't think the coach was the problem....but I guess we shall see!

You are correct. I was there. That game is how we got Lillard. We traded Crash for the Nets' pick soon after. Possibly the best trade in franchise history.Remember the last time we played a team the day they fired their coach? I do! Against the Knicks and they beat us by like 40! More. McHale may not have been great, or even good, but the way they were playing on the court is 100% on the players. Blaming the coach is a pathetic cop-out. They may have even been trying to get him fired. If so, I'd expect better play, immediately. How great would it be to come out and spank them by double-digits while all their fans are thinking it's the start of a turnaround. We can do it, we match up well against them. Their players are as much to blame for their slump as McHale was, maybe more.
Agree, which is why you see teams capable of coming out and playing like champs after firing their coach. In this case I'm not sure that firing McHale is a wonder cure for them. I have a feeling we will come out and absolutely deflate them in the first 6 minutes. If we find ourself up early we could very well never look back.More. It would be pure joy.Agree, which is why you see teams capable of coming out and playing like champs after firing their coach. In this case I'm not sure that firing McHale is a wonder cure for them. Even more, they're considered an easy win by other teams. Why do you think they fired McHale before tonight's game? Because they assumed they'd win either way, and they knew it's more readily acceptable to fire a guy during a losing streak than after a win.Someone should let our players know they are considered by the media to be the beginning of an easy schedule for the Rockets...basically...they are going to play down to us and we get to be the spoiler!Hope we play with fire and attitude...we're as hungry for a win as anybody right now. I want to blow them out of their own court tonight! Go Blazers!
This home crowd is just sad. I've seen bigger summer league crowds.
