Perfect example tonight, playing Alexander over Ed Davis. All you Stotts haters crack me up. For the last three seasons he rode his main horses hard...probably too hard. He was doing his best to win because he was under pressure to win. This season its like he's been given some of the same freedom he is giving his players. Or maybe he's under orders to play certain players. But he's spreading out the playing time and letting the players make their mistakes and find their way. That is a pretty radical departure from seasons past. I feel like he's almost having fun playing with all the various pieces. He knows they aren't playoff material so he gets to spend the season seeing what works and what doesn't. Which guys might be "long run" material and who's a rental. And I would bet PA and NO are just fine with that, if they didn't outright direct him to do it. We all knew we were in for a long rough season. So relax and enjoy the ride. And anyway, the last thing they need to do with pretty much an entirely new team is to bring in a new coach. I doubt there's one out there who could do any better this particular season.....
