Well that's a one game example. You can always point to performances where a dude plays brilliantly and their team loses. I think what Analytics do a very bad job of evaluating is that Stars are just way, way, way more important than role players. It's not that role players aren't important but Stars are what makes a team go. They can have "bad" games in the stat column (by their standards) and still be the must influential player on their team for that game. Dame is really, really good and I think they will have a chance at the playoffs as long as he's healthy for the next 3-4 years. Almost all the offensive measures in the game right now have him as like the second-best player in the league. Do I wish the role guys were better? Sure do, but come on Dame's presence, just like Lebron, Harden, Kawhi and any other superstar goes way beyond just the numbers and they make the game way easier for everyone else. They may not make the playoffs, the injuries hurt, the new additions haven't performed well, but near 0 chance is hyperbole to me, or sort of crazy (I do respect your opinion), but imo Dame gives them a chance at just about every game, and he gives them a chance to be in the playoffs. Especially when so many teams get there anyways.
