I’m not really surprised that we lost this one without Dame.

Is this as an accurate barometer for how much our team lives by him as his struggles early?

How much can we learn from this loss? Dame hasn’t missed much in his career…

I've been told Blazers are 6 points/game worse because of Dame's play this season. I guess it's good he didn't play tonight otherwise Portland would have lost by 35

take Dame and his shots out of the lineup must mean Nurkic would get more shots. Wait...he only got 5?

No no. Not 6 points worse with this Dame on the floor vs this Dame not on the floor. 6 points worse with this Dame instead of the normal superstar Dame.

Superstar Dame gets Nurk, Powell, Roco etc. all those good looks AND scores efficiently himself. Dame now gets them those looks but his own poor shooting is where most of the -6 comes from.

We lost without Dame.

They won without Murray, Porter and Barton....by 29 points.

There are bigger issues going on here than just Dame missing a game. Outside of a few players, there is an overall lack of effort, energy, and team play.

I still believe this team has the talent to be over 0.500 without Dame at all and with normal Dame (if he ever returns) 50+ wins. I mean compare this team to our 53 win team. Why should we be much worse? I think there’s a lot of panic knee jerk reaction going on. I can understand it we looked horrific yesterday.
