you answered your own question right there.....Vonleh is a lot younger and cheaper than Nico and honestly...Nic was declining heresent out a near max player
I don't know what Nic is averaging, but I'm quite sure it's better than Aminu.Umm because Id rather have a guy who hustles and is inconsistent than a guy that doesn't hustle and is inconsistent?
Results? Hmmm, how many no shows did we bitch about during Batum's tenure here? Results you say??? LMAO. I thought you wanted an intelligent conversation on this topic?
He has had his two best years in his career in CHA. What are you going on about?you answered your own question right there.....Vonleh is a lot younger and cheaper than Nico and honestly...Nic was declining here
Dude, there's a reason Nic is making 25 mil per year, and Aminu, 8.
Quoting per 36 numbers, get outta here.
I can't believe people actually defend a trade that sent out a near max player for Noah freaking Vonleh.

Really? Want to poll 30 GMs and bet who they'd rather have starting for their team?Come on now. Saying Nic is soo much better is just laughable.....
Who currently plays for the 76ers.You forgot Geraldo freaking Hendo!![]()

Nico is the new flavor of the month in Charlotte...he's having a decent season...Aminu has had a rough start....but compare the paychecks and consider Batum is a go to guy on his new team....if Nic is still bringing it in March....we'll seeI don't know what Nic is averaging, but I'm quite sure it's better than Aminu.

huh? you've completely lost me....Vonleh is a kid...just turned 20...Nic played many years here...compare rookie Batum to a 19 year old Vonleh and you've got a conversation...when Vonleh has put the miles on a court Batum has...we'll have a comparisonWhat are you going on about

Henderson was a big plus in the playoffs...another player coach for young guys...he earned his checkWho currently plays for the 76ers.

In vacuum I want Nic over Aminu. But we would have had to sign Nic to super max. No way in heck do I want that contract. So when you take that into account I am happy to pay Aminu 1/4 of the price.Dude, there's a reason Nic is making 25 mil per year, and Aminu, 8.

Batum was getting starts from day 1 on a 54 win team.huh? you've completely lost me....Vonleh is a kid...just turned 20...Nic played many years here...compare rookie Batum to a 19 year old Vonleh and you've got a conversation...when Vonleh has put the miles on a court Batum has...we'll have a comparison
yes, but we were willing to pay an inferior player (to Nic) in Parsons the same contract Nic got. New realities of the cap.In vacuum I want Nic over Aminu. I never said anything about money. Who gives a fuck how much they make. In today's salary cap situation, I don't think it matters anymore. I'm talking straight up talent on the court and the ability to master the whole game of basketball. Not guessing what somebody would do over 36 min bullshit.....straight up getting it done. I can't think of one team that would want Aminu on their roster over Nic. If you think Aminu is better, I question your common sense of the game.

Vonleh is still getting DNP CDs in year 3, and he plays at a position where we desperately need his help.
No we weren't. Parsons' got max not super max. Check Nic's contract. That is what we would have had to have forked over.yes, but we were willing to pay an inferior player (to Nic) in Parsons the same contract Nic got. New realities of the cap.
Nic didn't get super max either, as he wasn't eligible for one: http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...-year-120-million-deal-stay-charlotte-hornetsNo we weren't. Parsons' got max not super max. Check Nic's contract. That is what we would have had to have forked over.
Just got fed up with the whole..."we are better with Aminu, than Nico" bullshit last season. Just wondering where it's at now and want people to realize they were wrong.
No, not the same at all. At least to me. The 5th year is why Nic stayed. That was a requirement to keep him as he did flirt with DAL but of course only 1 team could give him that 5th year (CHA and in turn us instead had we kept him). Even if a team could have gave Parsons' the 5th, they wouldn't have.Nic didn't get super max either, as he wasn't eligible for one: http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...-year-120-million-deal-stay-charlotte-hornets
Nic: 5 yr, 120 mil --> 24 mil (5th year player option)
Parsons: 4 yr, 94 mil --> 23.5 mil (no options)
Pretty much the same, no?
