Othmann finally healthy. Hopefully he comes up soon. Move out the dead weight drury

They'll probably find a way to win this one 3-2....they'll be up 2-0 and 3-1 and give up another goal early in the 3rd but hang on by the skin of their sacks.

Could be with Kakko but Panarin has some kind of injury.

Love how he punishes Kakko and Mancini but Miller or Zibanejad never got scratched.

Lavs is a relic and lost. Try a successful young assistant next time. Enough with the retreads

All rangers centers suck ass including Chytil. Hard to get on him but he stinks too.

I guess it was inevitable. Not hitting on a center draft pick since Miller in 2011.

It is very possible, maybe likely, the Rangers are the worst team in the league right now, which is utterly embarrassing.

I also think it is very possible Kakko has played his last game as a Ranger. For him to be a healthy scratch tells me this could be it for him. I know Drury is useless and horrific at his job, but even he has to do something I'd think, and Kakko has been getting some interest around the league and now is scratched. I could see a package go with Kakko as part of it.

And I'll tell you something right now, if Lav gets fired and useless POS Drury stays in his job that would be one of the biggest disgraces ever by Dolan, and that's a huge statement. As I wrote earlier, go ahead and fire Lav, who cares as the team has been an embarrassment so they all could go and it wouldn't be a surprise, but to allow Drury to make that move and stay as Pres/GM of the organization is ridiculous. If Lav goes they ALL should go, including POS Drury (who is by MILES AND MILES the biggest reason for this mess of a team - MILES).

From the very first second Drury was hired I knew it was a mistake and said it very clearly. It was a terrible move by Dolan/Sather, and we are very clearly seeing the results of putting a guy who has NO BUSINESS being at that level, in those two roles (it was even worse they made him Pres AND GM).

Pretty much done with Fox, the guy is just not adding an element they need on the pp anymore.

Fox is allergic to shooting, and it has caught up to him IMO. Makes him much less of a threat. That's not his only issue, but it very clearly is one of them.

If Drury had any balls and wasn't afraid, a major move would happen, even if it is one step back for two steps forward next season with a lot of cap space. A major move doesn't mean just dealing Kakko and/or Lindgren, it means dealing a core guy (if not two) as well. Fox or Miller or Zibanejad (unlikely due to NMC) or Kreider someone on that level. I will continue to say, one of Fox or Miller has to go.

It has to be Fox because of the NTC that’s incoming.

Miller, Kakko, Smith, Vesey, Carrick, Lindgren..replenish some of the missing draft capital. Highly unlikely Kreider, Panarin or Fox get dealt this year.

I would lean that way, but I don't really care who gets dealt as long as it breaks up this stale core and is more than one guy. If they kept Fox and dealt Miller and another core guy, I'd live (even though I prefer to deal Fox because of the NMC and I'd expect a better return for Fox than Miller). They cannot both be part of this D next season.

And remember, Miller is a RFA with arbitration rights this summer, so he's getting a raise, and potentially a long-term deal (2 years away from UFA). On the one hand deal him rather than giving him a bigger contract, on the other hand do you deal him when his value is down.

Smith, Vesey, Carrick are all crap and useless and don't even count to me. They can go for a bag of pucks and open up spots for some kids.
Lindgren is a lock to be dealt IMO.
I see almost no shot Panarin is dealt even if you could get him to waive his NMC.
I also think it is highly unlikely Fox gets dealt, but I won't say no shot (it has to be before his NMC kicks in).
Kreider I absolutely could see going to a contender as a good leader and vet goal scorer.
Miller and Kakko are two guys I think are top of the list to go.

I say strike while the iron is hot, but I am not just talking about trades this season before the DL, this team needs to have a new core by next season. Multiple core guys need to go now or this summer.

The core had a run and fell short. It is over. You can’t hit on one center pick in 24 years and expect it not to screw you over eventually. Jones can go also. He’s tremendously overrated by this fan base. Much rather see a bigger, stay at home defenseman.

Jones overrated by the fanbase? There was one or maybe two people on this board who tried to convince everyone else that Jones was a tradable asset and could lead the PP for many other teams.

Yes, he is tradeable and could potentially lead a PP unit on another team. However, our fan base is making it seem he's playing great defensively and he's not. He's committing moronic turnovers every game now. Some of that could be attributed by the lack of leadership on this team and a non existent defensive system. He's also small and as I stated before, check the defenseman of teams that make the finals or win the cup. They are huge size wise. Having two 5'10 defenseman on y0ur roster is a recipe for disaster. Having Fox and Jones on your defense is redundant in many ways. Both small defenseman who aren't physical, don't win puck battles, take too many chances and rely on offense. I'm not sure I would trade Fox unless it was in the right deal where you got a top offensive defenseman prospect with size back. However, other than Schneider, Mancini and Fox, I would not keep any of the defenseman. Miller, Lindgren, Jones, essentially our entire left side can be sent packing.

Zibanajed, Kreider, Miller and Kakko are the main names that should be traded. I mean trade Vesey for what? A stick and puck? It does nothing for you. Mika can still return value and hopefully he can get himself straight somewhere else. Kreider is a tough one but he has become an ultra one dimensional player. Miller has been a mess since he took a mental health leave. Another guy who probably shouldn’t be in a big city. Kakko should offer a nice return as well. You can’t just move your crap. You have to make the tough decisions and sometimes say goodbye to guys you don’t want to. People forget Brian Leetch was traded. Wayne Gretzky was traded. You have to eliminate emotional attachments in order to move forward.

Vesey will have surprisingly good value at the deadline. I think he will get at least a second rounder because he's a class act, good skater, good PK guy, has size with some offense. On another teams 4th line and PK unit, he would be quite useful. Teams overpay like drunken sailors at the deadline every season.

I don't agree with Kakko being added to the list of the overpaid dogs that need to be traded, unless he's going to bring Cozens back, as Dump suggested in the other thread.

If Kakko stays, he (and his line) should be given top minutes and PP time. He is doing reasonably well this season ( 14pts in 29gms) despite only getting 13mins a game.

It's criminal that Cuylle-Chytil-Kakko are getting 13-14mins a game with a dog like Kreider getting 17+.

Even those 5th/6th rounders for scrubs help as you can tack them onto bigger deals if necessary.
