Do you think it was a mistake to deal Jake Layman away?

Dame was sliding over the entire time. It was correct to be overturned. Believe me, we would want that if a T-Wolf was moving that much under Dame.

Most probably they wouldn't even challenge it to begin with for us. They usually say "yeah, clear charge on the Blazers."

Can we seriously not force them to pass to someone other than Rubio?

This is why I tell ya we need a completely new direction. This team even with Cj and Nurk back won’t do shit. All this is because Dame is super good.

this team sucks

Why dont you apply for GM then?

I guess so. Kind of a weird rule that Minnesota can't challenge a block/charge, the refs can't trigger a review for a block/charge, but if they review for restricted area (which it clearly wasn't), they can review the block/charge.

I think they did get the call right though.
I don't think they can review: "NBA referees cannot use instant replay to go back and review whether or not the foul call was correct." Exception: "Review process can be used to determine if a foul occurred in the restricted area or not." Doesn't say they can review the foul itself.

Mind you guys Minnesota almost beat us yesterday so it wasn’t like today was luck

blazers aren’t that good

While just noticed something about Jones he does start but he doesn't play starting minutes. He comes in the last two minutes of the game for Hood that wasn't doing to much and we needed some stop at defense end and one your better defender is sitting on the bench. This continues to happen to him my prediction that he will opt out of his contract next year.

Proud moment of Blazer fandom.

I knew they'd shit the bed against Minnesota, probably will be lucky to win 1 of the next 4.

Splitting a road back-to-back down your #2 and #3 players is predictable. That's why I took the Wolves on the ML prior to the game.

Kanter is Portland's 3rd best player this year, and Minny is without their 2nd best player too

That logic makes sense to me, but clearly they did review the foul itself, not the restricted area.

Reminds me of the instances where they're reviewing to see who the ball went off of and the replay clearly shows there was a missed foul call; pretty sure they can't overturn those. This seems to be similar.

21 free throws for the Blazers, 39 for the Wolves. Ugh.

Blazers didn’t play particularly well, but they got no help from those refs.

I hate on the refs and blame them as much as the next guy, and while they did pretty shitty, they aren't why we lost. Stotts is reasons 1, 2, and 3 why. We also played bad most of the night

I'm not going to defend that Minnesota is any good, because I don't think they are.

I disagree Kanter is Portland's 3rd best player. For the second night in a row he was too much of a liabilty that we had to go with Roco/Melo down low, double every possession, and give up a ton of rebounds. Same reason he got bounced from OKC, waived from the NYK, and benched in Boston.

If Kanter is the 3rd best player on our roster, there should be zero expectations we make the playoffs. And I like Kanter, as a backup!

Kanter is a great guy and has his uses on the court, but there’s a reason why he’s never been a starter in his career, and there’s a reason why he’s sitting late in games. Olshey should’ve added a big when Collins went down, nevermind when Nurk did.

Or when Giles did... or when it was obvious that we couldn’t survive with RoCo and Melo in the post.

This is what I mean. Get rid of dame for his sakes. We are literally doing nothing with him. Hella selfish franchise I’ve ever seen

Then leave. Why support a selfish franchise that doesn't do anything the entitled person within you believes they should do.

See you at the next loss. Never see you at the wins.
