Also, I can't believe Neil picked Aminu ahead of Gordon Hayward and the hometown guy Paul George while in LA.

What a blunder.
Well if we're playing that game, 6 of the 8 picks before Hayward and George were worse.

Evan Turner
Derrick Favors
Wesley Johnson
Ekpe Udoh
Greg Monroe
Al-Farouq Aminu

Westbrook is shooting 23.6% on 3 pointers this season and is still shooting nearly 5 per game. If our defenders go over the fucking picks on him I'm going to break something.

ok...this sounds like a good game to play

list all the breakable things within 10 feet of your TV and the forum gets to decide which thing you have to break

remember...you started it

It loses some of its luster if it's planned and not spontaneous though.

maybe for you

but this is about us now. Not only that, if the game is going badly we all might want to break something, and it will be much better if it's yours. Do you have a window close to the TV? Are you married and does your wife have something artsy close to the TV?

I'm married and have 3 kids. They all know better than to be around me when I'm watching a game. There is nothing artsy in our house so you can take your pick of what toy you want me to break because that is pretty much all that is ever around.

Feel like the bench could have some success in this game. They primary play PNR with Schroder and Noel and I expect Stotts to continue to let Zach be the center on D. Patterson has been crap and should be an easy cover for Meyers. They also run a lot of snug/logo ball screen action though which will make Zach's positioning very important. Make Schroder a finisher and protect against the lob. Zach's pretty good at this, but Noel's athleticism is pretty overwhelming.

Dame has had some sloppy playmaking stretches lately. Fully expect OKC to shrink the floor and take away Dame's drives and Nurks roll game as much as they can. I'm sure Dame has seen the film and is anticipating this, but the pressure is on his playmaking and shot selection to avoid sparking their offense through easy transition baskets, especially early in the game.

But OKC also does a good job being early in help which puts them in great position to close and contest, so guys will need to be smart and decesive reading closeouts and making the right play off that initial pass And even then, OKC does a great job scrambling and taking away the next pass so it'll be important to keep playing throughout the entire shot clock. They have done a better job of this lately, but that'll need to be there again tonight.

Look for Stotts to run more empty side ball screens than usual to combat OKC's tendency to sell out on the PNR and dribble penetration. It's a go to secondary break action, but I think we'll see it used more in the half court as well.

Lastly, this feels like another game where Moe's play will be a big factor. PG has been unbelievable this year, and if Moe can make it tough on him in the half court and hit some shots on the other end, that could swing the balance of this game.

Go Blazers.

You must be a mean dad sacrificing kids toys.....

Given our recent penchant to throw the ball away, this will probably be a key factor. Nurk needs to win his matchup against Adams.

Yeah, but we throw the ball away unforced against any team, so it shouldn't be any worse than normal--right?

Not joking. Id like to legit see HJ’s expression the 1st time someone fights over a wb screen. Been such a long week, I think itd make my day lol.
Here is what i'm really wanting to see. How about the Blazers/Stotts actually do exactly what HJ says he wants to see. "Not fight through the screen". Then Westbrook starts getting wide open looks and as we all know he is very capable he starts smoking the Blazers with threes? Then Of course Stotts will be Dammed if he does Dammed if he doesn't on anything that happens right? What happens if Westbrook goes 4-4 from 3 point to start that game? Adjustments? Or just stay with the strategy?
