I think it's pretty obvious why Skal hasn't played much so far. He's clueless on defense. When I see him out there someone is always constantly screaming at Skal where to be and what to do.

Seriously though, Mario's defense has been pretty good all throughout the season so far. He can adequately defend 2-4 and can even make plays.
