Basketball is generally not a "consistent through the whole game" type of sport. It's a game of runs. Peaks and valleys. I just wish our coach would sometimes attempt to limit the valleys better.

He missed shots. He also played the best defense on the team tonight. He played center during the run in the 4th that brought the Blazers back into the game. Yeah Dame is scoring on one end, but we also got like 4-5 stops in a row on defense because Tolliver hedged on defense, came over when people drove to the rim, and got defensive rebounds against LaMarcus Aldridge. All this while our 27M center sat on the bench.

We don't make that comeback without Tolliver. With that said, I miss Zach.
 
Dame had an epic comeback performance but just couldn't get that last one down. On a side note, the Spurs broadcast had Sean Elliott and he said that someone should teach Dame how to shoot those off balance corner threes. He was referring the Memorial Day miracle when he beat us. What an epic troll job from Elliott.
 
The fucking spurs are now 3-0?! How are they undefeated and we are 2-2

Actually tbh now that I’ve thought about it, this loss just makes me upset we dont have a better supporting cast. Imagine if we had the luxury of guys like Rudy Gay off the bench, he’d be our third best healthy player right now for fucks sake

Rudy Gay isn't all that good when he's only shooting isolation jumpshots, but I agree.

Wait, I thought that was the problem last year and that we improved our supporting cast? Now that's the problem again? I'm sorry, but I really don't understand how people can put every single struggle we have on the supporting cast.

No chance, I’d kill to have just Kanter and Curry back. Based on our cap limitations I’d say we did well to not make our bench completely dogshit but we were always going to have significantly worse depth after last year.
