Grade Stotts for the first half of the season (considering all the injuries, new players, etc.)

I don’t care what our record is beating Russ and harden will always be the best.

When the Rockets closed to within 3 in the 4th I showed more emotion than I have in weeks during a Blazer game. My wife couldn't figure out what set me off. Then she looked at the TV screen and understood perfectly.

So are we done using injuries as an excuse?

You watch a game with Russ and you get your money's worth. The guy never never phones it in. At least I have never seen him go through the motions. He's a total piece of work, but a great competitor.

And he's great comedy, as well.

Westbrook yells at Dame: "You can't guard me!"

Then he bricks the free throw.

Apparently, the FT line can guard him.

Horrible competitor. He's all about himself and making sure he looks good and then he makes bad decision after bad decision and his team loses.

I have to give Stotts credit tonight. He actually formulated a game plan to combat the opposition instead of trying to make his normal defensive scheme work against every team.

Even if it wouldn't have worked I would have applauded him changing it up a bit. This is what I've been asking for all year (and last year and the year before that).

I also like ISO if it turns into non-ISO if that makes sense. When players are going one on one to create kick outs to open shooters or dump offs for easy baskets it is so much more effective than when someone dribbles for 15 seconds and then takes a contested shot. Everyone feels much more involved when they think there is a chance they could get the ball at any time. It leads to more energy on defense too.

I don't know? Kind of just seems like the Blazers made some timely shots tonight.

There was an interesting take in the radio yesterday as to how Harden is the most talented athlete who puts in the least amount of effort and cares the least about winning. Feels about right.
